DmC did alright critically speaking, so a sequel isn't farfetched (not that I'm looking forward to that, meh; to me DMC lives on through Platinum), though it's a shame Capcom keeps throwing out/redistributing their goodfellas. Ninty needs to nut up and make a straight-up Metroid title instead of all this playing around with new styles.

Anyway, that's enough off-topic for me, so I have a question instead: what kind of settings do you guys go for with Oblige, and what adjustments (if any) do you make to DoomRPG's options when playing? I recently finished an episode of regular maps filled with more and tough monsters, along with more of all pickups and x8 xp, just to go nuts (I had tried hordes, but it was 2much5me). I was also using DoomRL btw.

Not really if you don't suck.

I don't think there was ever a point in my run of the first game where I had to halt my gameplay anymore than I do without using Project MSX. In fact, I was actually speeding through the game a lot quicker (and not because I could abuse the jumping system).

Like I said earlier, I think the modern FPS mechanisms scare off a lot of people far too quickly.

I mean like...

Aside from the regenerating armor (which, I should point out, is not the same as COD's infamous regenerating health system), I'm not seeing any other similarity.
