I said this to myself 8 years ago, bro. Then I abruptly got kicked out, had to be homeless for a bit, and had to work hard from the bottom (fucking counting pallets of product in a warehouse) to eventually a cushy office job in the inventory systems management team when they eventually realized my talents were wasted doing grunt work. It took this long, but I'm finally getting back into Japanese since I don't have to work 70 hour work weeks anymore, worked on my depression, and got a fujo gf who wants me to translate doujin for her.

Good thing is that I retained a lot more than I thought I did despite not actively learning for so long. Guess the fact that I still watched anime and at least read Japanese tweets for news here and there helped keep things from falling out?

Other than Umineko, sort of Higurashi, Ace Attorney and Danganronpa, what are some other decent murder mystery VNs?

How do I into 2hu lore/characters/plot/etc.?
I've played like 2 of the games but they're incredibly short and each character has only like 3 lines

I'll give some ideas I guess, I like your writing, you don't ignore fluff which I miss in puzzles. A lot of puzzles just jump to the story, you gave it a bit of fluff.

The trick to the footprints can be something like this, Battler walks out to the rose garden, culprit with smaller feet than Battlers follows him in exactly his footsteps. When the culprit has killed Battler, the culprit then takes Battlers shoes, puts them on and walks away backwards in the same footprints, so you only have 1 track of footprints.

How's that? As for the culprit, I don't really know. Somebody with feet smaller than Battlers I guess.
Also I have no idea about the tie. I'm guessing it has some sort of relevance. Maybe he was strangled on the spot and then stabbed.
