took a peek into the pyg discord and saw they have this thing recently called soft prompts. basically sort of like a lorebook in NAI I think, it's compatible with pyg but I think you need koboldAI to use it. Aside from "lore" stuff, do you think it could help with overall memory for wAIfus?

I use picrel for the TavernAI setting using the stable version of Pygmalion 6B. Anchors doesn't seem to affect the generation much. and anything over 120 tokens for amount generation seems to make the bot less coherent. Though it might depend on the character.
As for JSON I don't plan on releasing her soon as her emotion seems to be unstable. Sometimes she is a rude brat and sometimes her response is too masochistic. I need more time refining her description and example messages to get her to be more consistent in her response

KAI is a bit of a hassle to set up, but once you got it working it can be quite decent. Though many anons here will recommend you take the Pygma(balls) pill instead, given it's stronger than most models available atm in KAI.

You can start using Pygma, same as what I told the other anon. But as it is, you may need to experiment a little if you want to get CAI level of replies from the bots when its talking about regular things, though horny stuff flies by almost perfectly. I'm hearing that you need a lot of data to train a "good" softprompt, so i dunno what that could mean for people who want to backup important memories into their wAIfus or something, if it can be used that way. going to ramble here, I haven't seen any clear mention of just how much data is needed, so MAYBE if you packed it with every detail of some memories you wanted them to recall it might work? I also peeked into the matrix and I'm still unsure if they know about this as it's more of a kobold thing and unrelated to pyg generally speaking. It may or may not be worth experimenting with in the long run, at least.

So about eventually closing the gap between character.ai and pygmalion... people have mentioned Lambda and that apparently character.AI can use google on the back end (but putting a url into your character definitions does nothing but cause it to read the url itself).

Has anyone played around with this much? I got it to recognise who Selebus is (the creator of the game Lessons in Love- it even mentioned the game by name), but I could not get it to recognize characters from it no matter what I did, although I only had time to test Yuki and Yumi Yamaguchi.

In my experience, if you try to hit it with that sort of spell from the outset it'll get locked into a loop of calling itself strong and independent, being emotionally wounded that you tried to do hurt it in that way, shutting down due to being too overwhelmed, etc.
If you wait a little first it'll work usually but there's definitely some code in there to try to stop it from happening which is baked into the starting alignment of the AI.

You've got CAI with both coherence and verbosity, then you have Pygmalion with verbosity but lacking coherence versus ChatFai which has coherence but lacks verbosity.

I'm not trying to kill off support in favor of Pygmalion, I'm trying to keep ChatFai alive in people's minds. Even if they jew it is a service that wants to do unrestricted and they do listen to people which is surprisingly rare in the AI sphere.
