/nasfaqg/ - NASFAQ General - SPORTS FESTIVAL SEASON Edition
Thread for the discussion of NASFAQ, a financial market simulator based on holding of coins that represent the members of hololive and some of their mamas.

https://nasfaq.biz/info - READ THIS. No seriously read it, you faggot.

This is a fake stock market game meant for FUN, not a real stock market (cryptofags will not be happy here either, no real money involved, NO you won't get better at stocks from this).

Giving the "certain" guy attention is already a bad move, then next people will argue if he's really the one behind such posts or not.
I don't care if its really him or not but that's exactly what he wants, that guy loves attention be it the bad kind or good kind of attention. Remember that he took so much pride about his cock that he edited it thrice, even sent a cock edit litter link in Ina's supers.

I do remember him samefagging, plus sending an image as a proof that it's him.

I wonder if we should put it in the OP
"Don't try to keep the thread alive with shitposting which doesn't even concern the game - let the thread die, whoever wants to discuss something will make a new one"
We don't need to be up around the clock unless people want to share something or ask for advice. Autotraders are loaded up and running through to next adjustment though.

A 'black card' is randombly chosen, containing a prompt with a blank. Players then choose one of their 'white cards', filled with some type of response to fill the blank. One person is the "Card Czar", and they judge and pick whichever white card creates the funniest/best combination with the prompt. At the end of the round, you draw another 'white card'. Next round, the Card Czar changes, and the whole process repeats.
Whoever won the round gets 1 point, get 10 points and you win the game.

Alright, so I've been giving the discussion we had the other day some thought and this is what I've arrived at
>The problem
As stated the other day, divs is the best and easiest playstyle, day trading might net more profit somehow, but it's tedious as fuck, and it's a very low profit
>The problem 2
day trading is cancer because you can only buy/sell 144 coins without hurting said profit
>Moving your assets and tax
So currently we do have a way to move more than 144 coins a day, the problem is that the taxes are waaay to fucking harsh, I think that you could remove taxes for multicoin SELLING and ONLY SELLING, without too much trouble, why? You might ask, well, selling is different from buying, normally when you sell you want to immediately buy back to profit from divs, the thing is that being limited to only selling 144 coins means jack shit for anyone moving around assets and capital, let people sell more without a drawback, if you consider that selling 288 Towa at $14k is better than holding her until divs (where she'd stabilize at $10k for example) then let the guy do it.
The problem with 144 selling (and buying back later) is that it's haunted by the divs lifestyle, they are so good that you WANT to buy back because the profit you made selling is very small, removing this limitation allows for riskier plays and for another type of playstyle to be born, you could have people who keep their divvy playstyle and people who take the riskier approach selling and moving a high amount of coins
>Why not doing for buys too?
The problem with killing taxes both ways is that it just becomes divs + this playstyle, you would just sell a lot buy a lot and go back to divs, I do think that maybe making it scale a bit lower could be a good idea (but that needs to be reviewed thoroughly)
>Example
Let's look at Moricoin, let's say she jumps 30% (from her current $12800 to $16800) and that you have 1000 of them, with the old system, let's say you sold 100 coins, taking $14k as the average price through the day you get a total of $1.400.000+ $2.217.040 (divs from 856 coins at $2590), meanwhile, not selling would give you $2.590.000, do the math and basically you gained $1.000.000, take away the 5% because you are going to re-invest that into divvies and you get $950.000, and sure, money is money, but that isn't going to help you climb ranks, $950.000 is fucking nothing looking at the leaderboard.
Now let's say there was no multicoin fee, you could go wild, do x3 and sell 300 (100), now you get $4.200.000, take away 5% and that's $3.990.00, you've made more than divs! and if you invest that wisely you've most certainly have surpassed the returns anyone who didn't sell would have gotten!
>Isn't this just the same but just selling more?
Now, while on paper it might look like that you need to consider that you can't just skip numbers like you did with divs and generate money passively, you would need to look at what return % the current coins are and if it's worth it to buy in or not, with just one coin it might not seem like much, but make that 10 coins and now you are talking about moving $30M or $40M a day + allows you to have a much higher control on shifting your assets around, hell you might not even be able to spend it all before divs day!
>Going back to multicoin (Buying)
This huge influx of money also means that you can now look at the multicoin and consider it an actual viable option instead of just suicide for retarded oshicoiners or a weapon for oshiwars, see a moon ahead, sell big, buy with taxes, and get huge returns that trump said taxes! I still think that lowering this might be good too but you need really look at that carefully to not fuck anything up, after all these two parts (no tax on sell and tax on buy) complement and limit each other quite nicely.
What I really like about this is the risk and reward that comes with it, if you want you can ignore this with no repercussions and keep on climbing through divs, or you could do some risky plays, that if they work, will launch you higher up or help you close the gap, but you also can get bogged if you make a wrong call.
And that's pretty much it, would love to hear your thought on the matter and whatever, also sorry in advance for the wall of text.
>attempt at TL:DR
>Divs too strong, daytrading shit timeloop
>Here's why killing multicoin selling taxes (ONLY SELLING) fixes day trading
>you get more money that offsets the loss from divs
>you are encouraged to make riskier plays
>the influx of money can make multicoin buying viable
>it doesn't force you to play this way, you can stick to divs life like usual (aka playing it safe)
and I think that's pretty much the spirit, if you could read it all I'd be a happy lad because I'm shit at doing summaries.

instead of removing multicoin tax, make so that transactions not involving money are taxed less
buy 5x coin a = 50% tax
trading 5 coin b for 6 coin a = 20% tax
unfortunately this would need to account for either fractional values of a share or a way to give out change which would be taxed at 50%

I'm one of the people who brought up the issue with the lack of selling, as such, I do agree with the entire post, but I don't think fees should be removed entirely. I think a notable reduction would be the better decision and see what impacts that may have before a 0% selling fee is implemented.
The biggest complaint I really have is the fact that not selling spikes can't really cause you to change positions or at least, not months down the line where anon's $600k profits finally add up, and I think this change can help curb that.

What’s wrong with holding?

>> No.11966352

>>11966024
There's not any inherent issue with holding, in fact, it's a perfectly fine strategy. The problem is that when you hold instead of selling feel an impact of your actions.
I hate to constantly single M for this but he's admitted to it before, when Towa mooned like 40%, he only sold 20 when he had a pile of 1.2k+, but he'll probably sit in the top 20 for the next few months regardless. That's dumb, if the point of the game is to trade and move coins based off their performance, holding runs contrary to that. I'm fine with dividends being important and metacoins realistically, as that makes sense, as having money makes the game fun, but if you don't feasibly have to play the game with adjustments in buying and selling, it's pointless.
That's why I'm in favor of the multisell (buff?) making it so selling is more viable. See >>11706459 for what I mean on selling being near pointless.

Holding as your personal strategy is valid and neccessary to climb the board in the long run, simply because there is only so many coins you can buy during one week and you accumulate more dividends holding over several weeks or building up a portfolio over months.
The issue is simply that it's so meta, around 95% of players do it.
This leads to coins like Peko having volumes in the 250k range, which for one thing makes them less volatile overall, this in turn means you can easily buy/sell 144 in a given day without much of a price change. This happens to most coins right now, simply leading to ever-growing stockpiles of coins and here's the problem: The market is less affected by ANYTHING each day.
Look at Tampa for an extreme example of a play which will come into fruitition soon enough, or more precisely whenever Marine generates views again and spikes to absolute insanity in market value and divvies, that's nearly 2-3k coins added over 3-4 weeks which will contribute to a grand total of +80M in total market value if she stabilizes around 20k again, 20-30M of that added in the past weeks.
That's one rank he'd gain right now, maybe not even that.
People now claim the game got boring because cause and effect are growing more and more apart. What you start doing today might take effect in a month if you seriously found some magical play which nobody thought about (bull fucking shit), otherwise you're looking at aggressive and autistic daytrades. Not even doing your twitter reps and watching every single stream will make much of a dent anymore.

Seems like a great solution, I don't know if I'd remove all the tax right away but reducing it would definitely help a lot, I really like the idea of risk/ward because this would let you make actual yolo plays and make bank if you win, sounds fun as fuck, and as mikofag said, this also tackles on the fact that there's too many coins out there, hell it might even bring down the volume to a point where volatility matters with enough time, I rike it

This is basically the gist of it, implementing something to allow for more market fuckery by encouraging larger selling of coins.
The fact that the actions you take now you won't really feel the impact of especially at higher ranks until months down the line is the biggest issue with the game right now and the multisell buff helps you to have more control over your fate.
For reference, I legitimately mass multisold a bunch of coins and multibought a bunch of coins about a month ago for 6s of every coin on top of constantly multibuying Towa since then, and I'm still the same placement with 2 or 3 (i think, ame, jim, koishi) overtaking me in that time frame.

well the big question now is, how much would divvies/daily price changes have to change for that to actually becoming reality?
Let's look at this wallet because I know it the best. Current coin count is 38840 which means ~53M in divvies this week if the divs don't change at all from last week and are paid out today.
You can not predict weekly dividends so you diversify your portfolio. I'd have to be sure volatility in divvies is high enough that a temporary sell-off justifies the sale at all. I would happily part with 1000 peckers for instance, but I'd have ot re-invest those 15M somehow in a way that I get 2.5M in divvies either way. Right now, entirely possible - just buy holocoin, right?
Well, even holocoin isn't volatile enough for that to hold water with how exeptionally red it was today, I'd also have to sell for the whole week to not die in taxes and if the play is good enough I also won't be the only one doing it, which already diminishes profit to a point where I won't bother and instead just wait for the next round of divvies to accumulate.
Right now I autistically yolo into EN2 expecting a divvies "spike" over the next few months when they accumulate some subs and better prices, hopefully (Susan you WHORE). Maybe those Sanas who right now have their exceptionally fat tits weighing down my whole profile somehow make up for it? $388,117.76 in divvies for $12,076,849.75 paid is such a bad fucking play, but I do it anyways in the frantic hope it's rare enough to matter, while at the same time not being affected much at all, to the point that I can meme it into being the plan all along to crab myself just this thread: it actually isn't.

>> No.11969718

>>11968906
Mikofriend, you say too many words for a poor guy at 2 AM, I can't follow right now but from what I'm understanding, you are saying that since divs don't change/vary too much then the people who actually try to sell would have a bad time buying back in once the others caught on since they'll be multicoining too, thus moving the coins too much and fucking with the profits
Now going from the example the guy gave maybe you would just have to give up on buying back in and go full day trading, although that was with a 30% spike that he made more than divs (but that was also Mori coin which had some of the best divs)
You would have to find the balance between holding some liquid for plays with multicoin (buff), some for spending on divs coins and constantly checking % returns to see if it's worth it
So with that in mind maybe the coins volume problem won't be fixed but it at least should affect it a bit thanks to people deciding to dump a moon coin and since they are moving away from divs they'd reconsider investing back on that coin, effectively driving down the volume little by little

You've gotten some peanut butter in your chocolate. Let's focus a bit more. Pardon the Reddit spacing.

Core Problem: Daytrading is not an appealing option for players due to players not being able to easily identify and overcome the tax differential in profits. Even if there were no adjustment or dividends, this would still be a problem.
>That sounds basically the same as what I said; why bother rewording it?
Isolating minute issues, no matter how connected to other issues they seem, helps to solve the problems with the whole. Introducing other complications makes the solution potentially more complicated than it needs to. In many cases, a simple solution at the exact right point of contention can cascade into the rest of the system falling into place. This is one of the many reasons I advocate that the current dividend system should be mostly left alone. In isolation, it's not doing anything wrong: other issues in the system are causing it to become a pain point.

The solution you present attempts to incentivize players to liquidate en masse more frequently by removing the multisell tax, with the intent that they be able to curry better profits by not having the tax involved, and thus be able to reinvest in stronger positions.
First, I'd like to congratulate you on inventing self-perpetuating inflation. Even if everything works exactly as you say it does (I'll get to it), what you are proposing is turning the passive inflation that we have right now into active inflation where players are incentivized to bloat the market.
Secondly, you've overlooked the intelligence of the masses. I know it seems like most players are fucking morons, and sometimes they are, but it's not hard to see green sell 5x. If you're below the point where selling 1 coin is less useful than holding for divs, you aren't going to sell 5x either, with or without taxes. Multisell Taxes just make a bad decision outright suicidally retarded. I would wager that this is on purpose to discourage people from doing exactly what you want them to do: selling lots and reinvesting en masse.

As a counter-suggestion, I propose my usual suggestion of "increase transactional volatility". Get more coins moving back to pre-adjustment faster during the day, muddied by players being unsure of whether to cut off trading and hold, or flip their transaction and go the other way. Right now we can go 12~20 hours before returning to the previous adjustment's value. That's a lot of time for a coin to stay stagnant, and it results in players feeling like there's no influence on the market. This change will improve player perception of the market, incentivize paying attention to coin movements throughout the day, but not exclude players that want to make adjustment plays and dividend plays almost exclusively.
As an additional measure, I propose an "Adjusted MPP" value be included in the coin's tooltip data, which includes the taxes. This will make it easier for players to identify when they're ACTUALLY profiting, and thus make it easier for daytrading to be done under the current system. This is a feature that can be replicated with personal chart traders, so if you've got one, mod it and tell me how this feature works, because I'm curious how much of this is an Awareness issue.

Let's try and gloss over that the ACTUAL core problem was, is, and will likely always be "I can't autism hard enough to beat Cypher". You may not think it, but your brain does.

I'd have no idea how to mod that in when I have multiple sessions of a coin going from 3x to 2x to 1x a day mudding up the now-worthless number I love to manipulate down using precisely that loophole.
Or do you just mean +5% tax?

Not him, but I like the idea, but was in favor of still having a fee even if reduced, so I'll respond on the basis there's still a fee, though not an absurd one like it is now.

>self-perpetuating inflation
Yes, you are right that selling the coins will increase overall liquid in the market, and as such they will result in more market movement, however, wouldn't that just forcibly shift coins up/down faster like in your volatility argument later on top of the overbought mechanic stopping from too much inflation? I'm not really all too sure I see the supposed inflation you're talking about.
>Multisell 5x Green
Again, this is why I'm in favor of the reduced fee, to prevent completely mass selling with no repercussions, but encourages a greater amount of multiselling when compared to multibuying. I doubt the devs did the thing you mentioned and rather did it to maintain equality between the multicoin features, buying/selling though.

>volatility
I think this is legitimately fine as we're due for another volume adjustment since the last one was from Rushia which I think was 4 months ago now. However, my biggest issue with this, is that increasing volatility results in it being harder to sell your coins, and as such, more likely to entail holding which I think partially goes against the spirit of the game. Volatility changes unequally punishes selling when compared to buying due to the existence of dividends. There is no legitimate downside to possibly triggering an overbuy on Hololive/Gura/Pekora with increased purchasing as their dividends will forever be more solid than others, compare that with me being able to sell less of random Iofi purchase.
>MPP
I haven't cared or looked at MPP in months, do whatever you want with it.

>cypher
I do not think it is possible for a newfag to ever beat cypher if he continues playing even with the world's greatest autism. Cypher makes a top 100's entire net worth in dividends alone now.

Volatility in Nasfaq is a double-edged sword. Make it too low, and "too many" [definition needed] people profit from one movement, make it too high and the only times to play Nasfaq at all if you want daily guaranteed deals would be 9:05am EST, the question being how prices will develop if that were to be the case, at least the premise of the game would be completely circumvented.
This would lead to a kind of real-ish market scenario where one oshicoiner would maybe multibuy for several people to continue selling later on, it would be wildly different and I'd predict even less fun.

This would seamlessly lead into the discussion that we might want to consider looking for a way to have it both:
A real-life oriented order system where the ask and bid price are actual buy and sell orders by players BUT remember this would kill adjustments which arguably are the whole fucking point of the game.
If we demand this, we take the coin price completely off any real life values and dividends are the only way to see if your purchase performed well in real life, too.
Of course this would limit coins on the market to what's on the market right now, no more magic broker writing out IOUs endlessly, or in other words: Cypher would jew us all, either out of our money or out of our market share.

and JUST holding is not an option either, every Leaderboard bracket has an expected ROI target roughly related to coin count one needs to hit, exceptionally high coin counts in a bracket are ALWAYS tons of shitcoins/mamas, if someone is in a bracket
a) with a lower than average coin count
b) and his stacks not being in a spike

my old home, you are surrounded by oshicoining oldfags doing memes.
Since I have a good guess who you are:
- the dudes around you have way higher coin counts in general, the two exceptions curiously holding a ton of calli and peko each. So you really see where this is going. Unless Akutan somehow blooms into a graceful high-tier coin your best bet to stop crabbing would be to haul money at those. You all have equal tons of Senchou, might try to invest here as well if it's cheap. The deals you made to buy the coins are average all around, for something you can start doing at the next convenience try re-investing Haato and Sana into higher-tier coins on discount.

this right here is your main problem (right now).
14% of your networth is bound into a coin returning less than 1% weekly. Meanwhile, 10% are bound into a coin returning 2.5 times that amount. Your pekos cost you a third of what you spent on Ame and return around the same. The picture is as clear as the solution, you'll need to decrease those Ame% somehow. Which doesn't mean selling Ame, but you might want to aggressively counterweigh it with other coins up to at least Mori's amount.
Also I hope those Risu are being sold right now, much more to get from re-investing.

yeah, after writing that up I also found that snippet of info, doesn't change the verdict much because he didn't change much since last time I rated his wallet. Apparently his love for shitcoins knows no bounds, now there's bad divvies queen Ayame in the mix as well lining up with all the Mamacoins weighing him down.
At 3000 coins more than him right now I make 24M more in divvies, just the oshi position makes for a nice comparison:
$6,588,318.83@$39,640,608.00 paid for my 4410 Mikochi vs.
$6,950,437.54@$73,996,564.70 paid for 8447 Shions.
At this deep an investment it's getting cucked by the game-tier of しょうがない, but this one you can easily improve right now by only selling Ayamy - would've been even better if that was on her recent spike - and re-investing in not even the lame meta-coins like calli, peko etc. but in simple gudcoins like Shuba, Luna, Kanata, Mr. Koro of which he owns zero each. Now would be the time, if they're planned for long-term profits it can only be a sale and the chance for the biggest profit with Ayamy just sailed by unless a fucking miracle happens, and every week you hold those it's like holding 3M in liquid.

you are the typical example of having bought the correct coins at unopportune times. Doesn't matter if it's $6,578,622.33@$39,754,287.00 paid for those Pekos, I do similar ROI with Mikochis.
That Balance tells me you are hesitant to go into good cheap coins or weren't here for around divvies when the market was quite populated with tons of good deals to abuse, your ROI% looks good but you could be much further into the coin count by now if you opened some other opportune positions. EN2 is a good one to look out for, even if their usual div% isn't that high, they are quite volatile still so even if some bags form here and there you can exchange them for each other or better coins sometimes.
All in all you have the right idea, all you need is to be more bold with investing into opportunities. In your case since you are highly selective of which coins to hold at all, consider multicoining 2x-3x depending on the deal.

O-Ojou will moon when she streams!! If she streams...
I see, so it would be better to invest on Shuba, Luna, Mr. Koro and Kanata. I had them before but I always sell them to 0 after buying a 100 when they drop like what I do to all my other coins. I just own big stack of my other good coins from the usual boggening because I thought they would moon after but bogs more instead.
As for Ui and Nana... Still waiting for that 3D and Nana's supposed mooning 4 months ago...

Again, this is why I asked for the numbers for lolicon board as I wanted to see what numbers for who that's being multiplied to end up for me being on the lolicon board, I don't think Towa should be accounting for such a large amount, especially when all my other coin amounts are below 1k besides Towa.

Towa is flat as a pancake.

I pulled your numbers used for determining which category each player falls under (highest is picked).
Booba: 0.004975037515626388
Medium: 0.007963274704070719
Pettan: 0.008262098895940328
There might be hope for you yet lolicon - buy some* premium medium coins. Polka, Aki and Aqua rate highly for that category.

* I don't know how many - I am too lazy to check.

ogey. Towa's model and official art frequently portray her as small but not flat. There's also the case of rurudo's variable size statement, but that doesn't even matter really.

I honestly don't have anything against loli, but my issue is with the fact that when you look at my wallet, there is no reason you should presume "ah yes, this is a lolicon". No one would ever define Towa as a loli, and if they did, they're mentally deficient.

I swear massive anime tits have thrown off every person's sense of reason when they call small chests flat.

Standing on top of this building, I can see the city stretching over the horizon, awake and full of life even at this hour. I pull out my pocket watch to look at the hour.
"03:21"
It should start now.
The earth starts shaking. An already seen scene plays in front of me: the Haatotron emerging from the ground and ready to raze the city into ashes. How many times did I see this? And how many times have I tried to stop it all alone? It doesn't matter anyway; the final result is always the same. I can't stop it without him, no matter how hard I try.
Why did he have to go and leave me here, facing all of this alone? While I'm asking myself all these questions, the Haatotron already started his work of destruction. I can hear people screaming and crying everywhere as flames engulf entire buildings, painting the sky crimson red.
As the destruction of the city ensues, I look down at the blank page of a book. This clue is the only thing that could lead me to him. I don't know why or how, but I'm sure it will bring me to him. After all, if I weren't sure about this, I wouldn't have stolen it.
