This led to ridiculous situations like 60% returns on 3M in botan and so on, and divvies for my simpleton ass always came out over 30% the last 5-6 weeks and I didn't even pump Peko or Calli that hard (~350-400 coins of both).
It all comes down to what the dev team does now, really. Yesterday showed us when you have an exceptional moon event near the end of the week, you'll have people buying absolutely fucking everything just because they need to also SPEND the money somehow, since every dollar left at divvies is a dollar which could be ~$1.30 just by clicking "buy".
It being EVERY. FUCKING. COIN. is a testament to the fact that we have too much fucking liquid in circulation. You can literally only spend it buying tons of everything. So something will have to happen, hold on to your butt because it would have to be drastic if the devs don't want the playerbase to become braindead red/green monkeys mining holocoins 24/7 for the benefit of absolutely nobody.
The game is more fun the more you have to budget around and ceases to be so if you are exceedingly rich, because difficult decisions are the shit that makes Frostpunk a good game for instance. And if you look at the market, then at your liquid, your task being "spend these dollars" and you have ~56 choices the answer to most of them is "BUY".
