Like a bolt from the blue, it's time for the Numbers Review.
This data was collected at 7p Server Time but in the thread confusion I forgot to post it.

Here's the R.I.C.H. report for today:
>Total Shares in circulation amount to 3,807,325, a 0.36% increase from yesterday's volume
>Average shares per coin is 66,795. There are 27 coins above this average.
>Pekora currently has the highest volume, at 229,183 shares, or 6.02% of market volume.
>Civia currently has the lowest volume, at 8,234 shares, or 0.22% of market volume.

MPP means average stones grug paid for holo coin
grug buy fat cat for 5000 stones
grug buy fat cat again for 7000 stones
grug pay 5000 plus 7000 stones for 2 fat cats, so is like grug paid 6000 + 6000 stones
if grud bought 1000 for 5000 stones each and 1000 for 7000 stones each MPP is 6000 stones
MPP is grug measurement whether grug make more stone selling holo coin or not, so the lower MPP the more stones grug get
likewise the lower MPP the better MPP div% which basically means how many stones grug paid for free stones on fridey

Not to armchair, but I get what people mean about not being able to move now. Back in my day, we used to be able to move up a few places and maintain it, because we could just shift ALL our wealth within a few hours. Made a play that few other people did? Or that you prepared for a couple days in advance? You're on the fucking moneyroad.
How about we multicoin to the EXTREME? 50x multicoin (or more?), with 10x -50x having scaled taxes of a similar scale to the ones currently in use. The main issue is that we're stuck in our positions without being able to take advantage of our full stacks.
Don't even ask me how the fuck I can make this work. I'm not a game dev, I'm a retard. It's just a suggestion and I'm sure it can't just 'happen'. But maybe the devs could make that work after a bit, and have higher scalings every now and then when the economy starts to become stagnant.
I'm a man with suggestions and no smarts, so I'm sorry if this isn't of value. You've probably thought this through yourself and though 'wow, that's retarded' ages ago.

I think one guy said it quite well in the past, the market (or player growth) feels "stuck" after you reach a certain point, not being able to shift assets in little time means you are just going to get hit by adjustment, and the problem with that it's not only that people have all the numbers for 12+ hours but that adjustments aren't really stats driven most of the time, people have so much buy power that overbought is going to trigger or at best the coin will crab. You can't really make plays when pretty much everything that would go up its going to fall instead thanks to the sheer buy power of the top 50
I also don't have any ideas on how to fix that (aside from moving adjustment to an earlier time like before, but that might be very bad for many players)

so here's currently rank 34 soon to be 35 and my spread
nearly 75% of it is >1000 coins, you can not feasibly shift that without losing money, and most of it is either long-term investment or oshicoin.
I've been in this rank forever, only climbing when someone eternally abayos, which is perfectly fine for me because I like looking at numbers.
You will see shitcoins in there (Sana) because I only buy coins I like the chuuba of. Kinda gimps me but it works because thanks to multibuy I just buy more of coins in that selection. Otherwise it would be long time to diversify further until I have all the coins. Might very well be but eh, too lazy.
Best Div%MPP are Subaru and Botan, 7.5k and 5.2k per coin on average respectively so those pay tons with me having spent the least out of my whole portfolio. Shuba is strong this week so she kinda doesn't count. Botan meanwhile has paid out nicely for a while.
Long term is Miko/Marine of course.

I'll chime in on the Climbing conversation a bit here as well.
I personally have climbed about 17 positions in the last month (from 88 to 71 as of today), and I don't think 17 people have abayo'd.
You can climb to a point, but you're probably going to hit a wall around the 50~60 mark. I don't think I'm likely to get much higher without people quitting or making REALLY dumb decisions.

Also, yeah, a core problem is that nobody in the top 100 can reasonably cash out a strong position in a day without burning a lot of money (thus invalidating the point of cashing out). Remember that you need the coin to basically triple in value to justify selling 5x without losing money. I don't feel like diving into the archive to see the last time that happened, but it's been a while. Maybe Sora's birthday? All of the more recent big moons have been 50~100% increases.
I'm not making enough from dividends (I got about $11m last week), so I've been getting up to do adjustment plays in the morning. Reminds me of Zhonkbot's early days in a way, although I can't abuse idiots autobuying for free daytrade profits. There's too much volume out there. Nothing moves anymore unless EVERYONE is buying/selling. Shion spiked to about 14k today, and she's only barely scraping the bottom of 11k now, 14 hours after adjustment. A couple of months ago that would've been her price a few hours after adjustment, not half a day.

>> No.11703398

>>11703161
You know, when bogration happened + volatility changes it was quite something to see adjustment dips or rises to dissappear after 6 cycles, I don't know if it would fix anything but it would be interesting to see how more volatility affects the current market (although it should probably not be as high as back then)

Definitely gonna have to agree with you on volume being too much again, while not as bad as the great Rushia purchasing fiasco at least yet, Mori/Calli/Brap is still 3k under her price before adjustment and with multicoiners, and she's legitimately one of the best coins in the game.

With more bitching about volume, Me and Tower have been buying 7/8 Towa per cycle are effectively able to curb the mass selling of Towa as well where she's gone from 30% to 24% in over 12 hours. If I switched to 5x Towa, she probably would still be above 25-26%. While neat that players could impact the market in some way, it is stupid that I'm still 36, 14 hours after adjustment, even if I'll drop again next adjustment. Towa and other coins should realistically be at their pre-adjustment prices at this point, which can also help to curb the POI numbers being known usage by making it so you legitimately couldn't buy Mori on discount until the next adjustment.
The game has reached a point where players like M who had 1375 Towa pre adjustment, sell only 25 Towa even though she went up 30%, and be perfectly fine, ignoring the shitty dividends he receives. Players don't really feel the impact of one of their coins taking a hit or mooning, and can effectively ignore moons for little to no repercussions. There is no real reason to sell coins that moon except for minor profits that may arise from coins mooning.
For example, on Towa, if you held 100 Towa and have been selling her since adjustment which is about 93 cycles or so, assuming no multisell, you have made about $1.6 mil in selling alone. $1.6 mil will not allow you to climb the board at all especially higher up, and while of course, all the money you make matters, but when you compare that to the dividends you could've received which is about $1mil, you realistically made $600k of real profit. Again, this selling money could've been used to reinvest in other coins for their dividends, but again, there's the purchasing fee, and realistically, why would you even have Towa when she's consistently a shit coin for dividends, you could've feasibly sold Towa or other coins before adjustment and reinvested into better dividend coins. There is no real way to climb up the board without monotonous grinding of tiniest percentages of profits. The game has reached a point, especially at higher ranks, where you can't pass the person above you without having a better dividend portfolio than them for multiple weeks of dividends.

TL;DR: volume too stronk, coins don't reach their pre-adjustment fast enough. profits from mooning are not significant enough to actually have an impact without numerous weeks of monotonous grinding for the million or so you can make off a coin mooning in a day. all focuses should be centered around dividends if you want to climb at a higher rank, and even that requires you to grind for multiple weeks/months.
solution? lol fuck if i know. maybe make stay high longer if positive, which encourages multicoin selling. otherwise im lost

TL;DR TL;DR: For fucks sake stop buying Towam she is legitimately a shitty coin from a financial perspective and I know like none of you fucks legitimately watch her consistently, I want my market share to be 20% consistently without autistically purchasing a shit ton of Towa.

Scaling would definitely have to be adjusted for your idea to work, not a numbers guy, but you're just gonna run into the second type of inflation called coin inflation, which is a way harder issue to solve. Scaling would have to find the sweet spot to actually be a play while not being mandatory but also not be legitimately retarded to do so. There is no need to get people to buy more coins when divvies already incentivizes that, you need people to remove their coins, while not immediately regaining them soon after.

I mentioned it in >>11706459 partially, but there really lacks any major reason to sell coins on a grand scale due to the penalties of multisell and the minor profits you get from selling in the first place. As long as you have 80+ of a coin, which most of the top 100 players do, you can feasibly squeeze out all the profit there is to get out of a coin mooning currently. It really just depends on that "considerably".
It angers me that M can hold 1350 Towa on a day where she's mooning without repercussions essentially, as there is no real need to sell at higher ranks, as he would only make $1.8 mill today, when he would just get $1mil in dividends from Towa from the same amount of coins he would've sold.

Hi-
An update to the autotrader has been made so that you can now see the step quantity and expected balance in the trade summary view. We've also made the logic for how the trader determines what coins to trade a bit better so that it now actually simulates what to trade in the order that you list the coins in, e.g. if you have a buy order after a sell order, it will determine whether to make that buy knowing that you will gain X liquid from the previous sell. The pending orders will also be reflected in the rule list, showing the coins to be traded as highlighted and the ones that won't be as darkened. Please hard-refresh to get this update.

There's still the huge problem of everybody being able to make the same amount of money due to holding enough coins to sell all day, even at 5x. You're right in your assessment (not enough volatility, shifting capital is too slow, even the most effective trading strategies give little profit compared to net worth), but your example is slightly wrong. You should not consider dividends when calculating profit from selling, precisely because of the reinvestment into different coins. Selling is a perfectly valid strategy, just not multiselling. The only exception to this is if you are so rich that you have to constantly buy, which isn't a thing for you or me yet.

Only edging others in dividends provides enough profits to actually move. Consistent day-to-day trading might yield you multiple million per day at most.

The only problem about this are the less popular coins but if people aren't buying them now, I don't think people will in the future, and that it will give advantage to people who are already holding a good amount of coins but that's just natural if market will stop releasing more coins.

Every coin has a coin pool, and coins are added there every week. When a player buys, a coin is removed from the pool, and when they sell, a coin is added.
Alternate idea would be that instead of each coin having its own coin pool, the entire market has a coin pool and buying a coin reduces the size of this pool by 1 no matter what coin is bought. This version is a lot more flexible and allows for more player freedom I think.
The rate at which this affects the number of coins in circulation can be adjusted by changing the values of how much coins are added each week, and how much selling or buying a coin affects the coin pool.

She got to where she is not with luck, money, nepotism, but pure hard work, and the fact we saw that journey just makes you want to cheer her on. What direction do you guys really want this game to take? Shitcoins need to be bought in higher quantities to be equal to buying a bigger coin. Reminder that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the current dividend metagame. As long as the system makes logical sense, high-performing channels will be worth camping for dividends. Changing this will do nothing but be change for changes' sake. This is why the devs got shitposted for suggesting the dividend model that gives payout based on active volume.
The problem is that, for a while, there was no OTHER method of getting good income to use on the market. Adjustment plays were basically nonexistent because everything would go in one direction (usually down), so you couldn't buy low and sell high. You need the market to go both directions regularly for that. Adjustments have been getting better he said on a near-mono-red day, so it's possible to make actual meaningful adjustment plays. Yes, "meaningful". If you are Top 50 you are going to be fighting a battle of inches, and it's time people accepted that. There's just too much autism and old money in the top 50 for that to not be the case. You are in a battle of attrition against the people directly adjacent to you. You should not expect to get a good dividend payout and suddenly jump 5 places. That is not reality anymore.

Daytrading is still shit, though. Adjust transactional volatility and see if that helps.

For the record, only one was verbal about the metacoin holding and it was someone who refuse to play the game.
I think limiting the trading to be player to player was the right idea but giving the coins a pool limit isn't exactly the right idea. If we limit the trades to players buying from a player selling or vice versa, we could at least force some people, not all because there would still be people holding, to sell or buy during adjustments.

There are already some players who go against the trend and we could take full advantage of oshicoiners that way. For the shitcoins refer to what >>11713758 said.
>but if people aren't buying them now, I don't think people will in the future
I do see a problem with this though, that is if the shitcoins suddenly held a big event, where will people get coins if the holders refused to sell and where will the coin holders sell said shitcoins. Maybe that's a good idea to put in the pool. Maybe make the shitcoins have their own pool and limit the popular or coins that has huge volume to be player to player only.

Another thing about the current popular coin holding meta, there's nothing wrong with it. It's IMPOSSIBLE to not own any of said coins with our current market and excessive amount of reds UNLESS you really hate the idea of holding metacoins or hate the holo. Or just hate the idea of playing the game.

As one of the shitcoin holders that stands to benefit a great deal from any shitcoin buff, coin pools are retarded. Pretty much for exactly the reasons you state: I don't have to sell, but you also don't have to buy when I want to cash out. What direction do you guys really want this game to take?
I think you would need to look at what counts as "winning" in nasfaq for that, if you treat winning as climbing the leaderboard then the current strat is, as you said, to hold meta coins
but why is this the meta? Well, they pay high dividends and we are currently living in a dividend centric market.
So how do you fix this? Well, the devs are (were?) thinking (trying?) to implement a new div system based on total amount of shares in the market, since everyone has a lot of Peko/Calli/Whatever their dividends would be heavily nerfed and shitcoins would become a very good investment, the problem with this (I think) it's that it doesn't fix the main issue, everyone would switch to holding shitcoins, perhaps Mel/Aki/others would become the new meta, the same thing as before would happen again, it would just have a delay until those coins become the most bought, the only change this brings is that we enter a metacoin timeloop, in which, after buying the shitcoin to infinity the old metacoins return to being good, then you switch again, and again, and again, going in an infinite loop.
Well, since changing divs doesn't fix the problem, what should >we do? As stated earlier, since we are taking winning in this game as climbing, and you do that by making money, the real problem is that dividends are the most efficient way to get money, as stated by >>11706459 and >>11707980 you need to move hell and earth to day-trade only to get very small profits, and if you want to make the process quicker with multi coin your profits only go down, meanwhile just holding is far simpler and gives almost the same amount of returns, it takes no effort to play divs, and it gives huge returns, why would people not do it?
So what do you get from all this? Unless a way to earn more money (or at least have noticeable returns in terms of profit/effort compared to divs) is discovered/implemented, holding meta coins for their divs will forever be the play.
Sadly, I don't know any way to make that a possibility, you would probably need to look into reducing taxes for multicoining or messing with the buy/sell cooldown, but as of right now, unless a mega moon happens, selling 144 coins will never as worth it or easy as just holding them until divs, I mean, look at the Towa post, only 600k profit when the coin shot up by 30%, how many coins shot up 30% every adjustment?
That is, of course, if you believe that dividend playstyle is wrong or needs to be changed, you could argue that this is just what works the best since high chuubas have high dividends and that makes sense

I do think that coin pool isn't really a great idea to put in the game. I just really can't find any good buff to balance the shitcoins, there's no one or very scarce that would buy them even at high price, they have such low volume/shares in the market and their price is low compared to all other coins while being low shares in circulation coins.
I guess it'll be hard to buff them.

I myself don't mind if there's 'metacoins' that remain the same, I really just care about how fast we can change things, both in our wallets and the market. If it's near impossible to move around the leaderboard or get rid of a whole bunch of coins, the game gets very boring very quickly. That was the problem with inflation, it wasn't the big numbers. It was the lack of ability to respond effectively to market changes or to change your playstyle just out of choice. You had too many coins and the market moved too little (because you could only sell/buy so many).
Yes, I am going to continue to shill massive (and scaling) multibuys, with similar multisells that have a lower tax.

I do feel this. Whatever I do, I just can't beat the dividends return with the exception of Hololive, Calliope, Pekora, and Gura which ironically are the coins you will hold for huge dividends. You either lose the 144 coins for a day and buy them tomorrow, or just hold the 144 coins then proceed to buy 144 more tomorrow.

The strength of shitcoins is that when Choco goes to 6k I can sell 50, profit at 2~4k a share, and immediately buy 100 the next day because she dove back to 3.5~4.5k. Approaching it from the angle of "how do we fix shitcoin dividends" is pointless and only leads to "let's flip the dividend meta turnways".
Shitcoins are at their best when you play the day-to-day market around them. You are making a gamble. It is not safe money, but it's a low buy-in compared to the metacoins, so it's very appealing for people that want to circulate liquid quickly and generate small incremental profits.

This is a spitball, so I've put almost no thought into it at all, but one idea is that you could change adjustment volatility based on market volume. Lower-volume coins have more drastic adjustments. They spike higher but crash lower. There's obviously problems with that, but it's an idea. Everyone seems to be overfocused on dividends. I think dividends are fine. >We need to start looking at improving the play experience for day-to-day play, otherwise the game is going to become "play maybe 30 minutes a week and wait for Dividends", which is what is causing a lot of the percieved lull lately.

It's not the "ain't sellin'" meta that needs attacked, it's the circumstances that led to that being the only way to play for a while.

That's not the main problem with the game really, people had the game solved before we had all the problems that we do now. The big issue is that we're like a sailboat in a storm, we're completely unable to do anything against the market. Our wallets are too cumbersome, we can't change according to the daily 'waves' of the economy like we used to in the first couple months.

>> No.11725369

Anons saying the game has been solved now so there's no skill expression. The game was solved once the first 5 dividend charts were posted. The same three suspects all at the top nearly every week, and when you play for months it's about consistency, not one good shitcoin week. The only thing that mattered was an adjustment time that happened before the numbers were calculated on poi.

yeah, it's just that without multi you are limited to 144 coins a day, and that does fucking nothing in terms of profit and shifting assets, it would be better to wait for divs, unless you multicoin, but if you do that your profits go down waaaay too fucking fast, I agree with you, reducing tax and scaling multicoin might be a possible solution that's worth looking into

>The strength of shitcoins is that when Choco goes to 6k I can sell 50, profit at 2~4k a share, and immediately buy 100 the next day because she dove back to 3.5~4.5k.
I know, what my problem with it is if the case of trading being limited to player to player. If the case that they go up to 6k, no one would really buy them.

I also have no problem with the current dividend play because it's the most efficient way to make money right now.

>Lower-volume coins have more drastic adjustments
This sounds good actually, the main problem why they're shitcoins because of their channel reach, they will never be able to compete with the other coins. That's why we need something to buff them up and this sounds like a perfect idea for it. If people starts buying them then they lose that buff because of their volumes going up.

I also do agree with this but said ideas being timelooped is also because we think that the timelooped ideas are a good starting point to make changes in the market and think of even more ideas, also we're given free thought about said ideas because the devs have never declined said ideas and tell us that they won't work.

Do correct me with this if I'm wrong. It will also be a good way to end timeloops if we have a post from devs that we can present in the threads that is stating that said ideas are rejected or simply wont work.

Maybe they feel like they'd gain enemies if they rejected people's ideas. That might be why they neglect to respond to suggestions. For me, I'd rather have my ideas rejected than ignored. But that's just me. Some schizo might lose it if they're rejected by THE honk.

Honk is literally Armchair Dev Prime. That's more than fine, I'm not expecting pro-grade design choices out of a team of anons on 4chan. In fact, Honkler's done something that is generally fairly difficult: made a devteam of anons on 4chan.

>> No.11726048

Should we try to come up with ideas then? Let's try to keep it simple, for example
>New dividend system based on volume
>small explanation (divs are now tied to coin volume, this means meta coins are now less meta and shitcoins are now worth it)
and then others can reply with why it would or wouldn't work, in the example we already kinda know since we've discussed that one to death since the devs proposed it
Could a good way to keep track of what has already been proposed and the general idea of what the player base thinks, also helps the devs to have an easier time if they want to look at what we've come up with

How about this as an idea, before adjustments everyday, you can guess the post-adjustment price and instantly sell/buy 144/288/432/576/720 coins (with taxes still) if you get it correctly/in the range. For example if a coin spikes to 8k and you guessed 7.5k and submitted an order to sell 144, your 144 will be sold instantly at adjustment for that price and all other anons that had a sell order that passed. If you guessed over the price, your sell order will fail. After all the orders are processed the price will drop according to volatility and the # of coins sold. If you guess too high you miss out on profits, same with if you guess too low. These orders don't count toward your daily buys/sells and you can keep buying/selling after the orders are processed. Same would happen with buying except that if you guess too low your buy order won't go through. I think a nerf to divs would have to accompany this since it would be injecting a lot of money into the economy

I spent three hours troubleshooting the included version of Tcl/Tk that Python 3.6.x requires in order to compile, which itself refuses to fucking compile because it can't find some stupid HTML documentation that I symlinked to every God damn folder all the way up to the root.
When I nuked everything, extracted the tar again, and just dropped all the Tcl/Tk libs from an already installed older version of Python that had the same tcl-core-8.6.6.0 package on top of it, it all fucking compiled on the first try.
Why Python 3.6.x? Because VS2017 uses Python 3.6.x for some inexplicable reason, but downloads 3.6.6 which is well behind the current security release, 3.6.15, and even the final Win binary, 3.6.8.
To add insult to injury, some guy had the same idea and compiled everything for everyone: https://github.com/adang1345/PythonWindows which of course I only found after getting it all working.

You're probably just eating bad spicy foods or spicy foods that are just spicy for the sake of being spicy. Those are for masochists

Almost anything. Carrots come to mind first. Mild onions are pretty good raw as well, more than tomatoes. Leeks are good. Cabbage. Watercress. Spinach.
etc etc
FUCK TOMATOES.

A good lemon macaron tastes like, well, a lemon-y sweet marzipan confection. Macarons tend to be very sweet, but they have a lovely texture and fruit-based ones often offset their sweetness by acidity of the respective fruit, lemon in this case.
Macarons are notoriously hard to bake and dry out quickly, so I usually use them as a litmus test to assess if a confectionery is good or not.

There is a confectionery back in my hometown which baked absolutely perfect lemon macarons, and ever since I've moved out I tried my best to replicate their style in the ones I bake for myself.

I had an almond, hazelnut and white truffle macaron once. It was unreal.

Hazelnut macarons (which always contain almonds) are top-tier, but I never tried one that would also have white truffle in it. I've only heard that white truffle pairs unusually well with sweet things, like chocolate and such.

Vocal cords are quite delicate. Trying to use them when they are not finished healing will more severely damage them. Generally this is irreversible, as the scar tissue will permanently change them. Imagine tearing a muscle in your arm while lifting. Not only does prolonged disuse weaken the muscles, trying to go back to lifting before it's healed will permanently damage your muscle. For someone whose entire job pretty much relies on her voice, I'd heed the doctor's advice.
