Even for Plebbit it's shitty DD. There's major leaps of logic, such as the only reason that BR and Vanguard would recall shares is to vote against a merger with BBBY, which a) assumes it's BBBY and b) doesn't make sense as they don't make up enough to sway the vote against DRS'd shares and insiders (or why they would beyond 'they're a hedgie so inherently in cahoots!'). Plus relying on fake articles from chatgpt. That said what is interesting out of it is the part where BR and Vanguard are recalling shares, why will hopefully become obvious.

They will have the ability to limit supply creating inflated value much like diamonds.

I don't think so. The economy needs for real estate to deleverage and allow interest rates to rise. As you deleverage the economy this way asset prices should be collapsing. Blackrock and others are buying into housing because the banks need to prop prices up because they wrote TRILLIONS of dollars of MBS paper that is going to implode and destroy the fed, pensions, and other owners of this garbage paper.
As large as Blackrock is, they are still dwarfed compared to the size of the real estate market. With higher interest rates, housing will no longer be seen as an investment and supply will be flooding the market again as speculators are forced to contend with the fact that they can't find buyers willing to take on massive amounts of leverage at these higher rates. Housing prices WILL be going lower and we will ALL be much poorer once all of the free money stops sloshing around. The last 20 years have been an economic anomaly and most people alive today have no true conception of value and the sheer amount of subsidies the globe and banks provide the average consumer. It's all unsustainable and I am betting my money that things will return to a semblance of normalcy in line with what life looked like for thousands of years. Back when we had real costs of capital. Back when America maintained a net-zero balance of trade. Back when the dollar was not the reserve currency. It's a lot to digest, but i think I am on rock solid footing that things will be reverting to the mean.

This is true. The money system is so efficient at attracting ungodly amounts of capital/goods/resources that our government and banks actually have to actively IMPOVERISH us. This is basic bitch economics in that so much of our wealth is tied up in financial assets, and those assets only have value if you have people to extract value from. It's akin to showing up on a desert island with a suitcase full of cash, it's effectively useless. If everyone in America becomes wealthy enough and we can all just buy stock portfolios and sit on our asses, the economy will stall out. So in order to compel workers to work harder and longer, we are actively threatened with healthcare costs which ensures people work until they are 65. We have inflation, and taxes. We have student loans, and all aspects of life are financialized in order to impoverish us as well via interest payments. You now need 30 year mortgages to afford a house, you now need to go into 10-60K debt to get a college degree. Cars are so expensive they now offer 7 year loans. You have taxes all up and down the line on literally everything you do. The reason this all works is that you can make essentially infinite percentage gains, however you can ONLY suffer 100% losses. The banks and government carefully manage how much they steal from you so that you can never get ahead without being highly trained. As wealthy as America is, most people only ever get a tiny little taste of wealth and the rest of their wealth is siphoned off to Wallstreet via insurance, 401ks, Social Security etc.
It's a total fraud, this whole country. Back before the banks took over people were wealthy enough to work only 14 weeks per year. They had ample free time to live a human life as it is meant to be enjoyed. The so called "dark ages" is basically a fraud to conceal the fact that a certain tribe was instigating wars and taking over Europes finances and dethroning the monarchs.

I think hundreds of millions of people are going to die once the debt bubble pops. You can't just create a global ponzi scheme and not expect absolute carnage to be the result.
Econ 101 is a function of land, labor and capital being applied to create value and you have economic growth through savings and production ONLY. There is no escaping this fact, and despite the globe becoming more complex it still functions on that basis. However we hit a threshold where instead of investing and savings we began to dangerously CONSUME our production to prop up dysfunctional financial ponzi schemes. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and no amount of liquidity can replace capital. It would behoove you to know the difference.

In your scenario, it's billions. People won't allow that to happen. As I said, the building blocks for securing life and civilization will still exist even if the economic order collapses, and people will use them to create a new paradigm. It will be superficially more work per capita, but it will be more healthy socially and environmentally. What's more, all the incentives to confound efforts at increasing efficiency (efforts like remote work, renovation and usage of vacant built spaces, anti-food waste initiatives, public transit, etc.) will be wiped away, and we'll finally be able to implement what's good for society rather than what's good for a Capitalist's bank account. doesn't have to happen other than any chaos from the initial shakeup. Almost no jobs in America are based on work quality or performance, very few white collar jobs this matters. The vast majority of jobs are completely useless, and most jobs are just busywork that don't add value. If every job added value, everyone would be "wealthy".

If you got rid of all the jobs that don't produce value, and also got rid of the inefficiency of a "8 HOUR WORKDAY" (see: more like 6hrs plus 2 doing nothing) you would have enough money to institute a light UBI system. "light" meaning work is still needed, but it's most likely part time less than 25 hours a week.

The best part is you don't even need to harm wages, the money is coming from previous waste.

This. We let people bum around offices for 8-10 hours a day while a portion of the population is running themselves ragged with three 4-hour/two 8-hour shifts in warehouses and manning retail (all understaffed, mind you). Automate bullshit white collar work, everyone works 4-6 hours a day at their local grocery store/drug store/retailer/warehouse/farm/manufacturer and takes home a living wage that pays enough for necessities and (crucially) savings. This is how it always should have been, but we were obsessed with "getting ahead." There is no "getting ahead"; you maintain, and provide enough for the bright and motivated to broaden capability at the margins (on top of, not in lieu of, their duty to the community). If dude is right about anything, it's that our two-century experiment in concentrating capital to drive the whims of the elite has to end. Too many mouths to feed.

GME (GameStop Corporation) is a popular retail gaming company that has been expanding into e-commerce and technology services, which could drive future growth and profitability.

The recent short squeeze and retail investor activism have brought significant attention to GME and raised its stock price, potentially creating opportunities for short-term gains.

The company's leadership team, including its new CEO, has been taking steps to restructure the business and improve operational efficiency, which could lead to long-term value creation for investors.

That money doesn't exist in the real economy. Most of it is notional and traded back and forth between large leveraged institutions that will be liquidated. That money will be deleted when those institutions go bankrupt and default on their debts. Going orbital speed (Mach 17) inside an atmosphere creates a big fuckoff plasma wall in front of your ship, which is why reentering spacecraft need heat shields and rockets climb out of the atmosphere before doing most of their acceleration. This means however fast the craft can move in vacuum, it was limited to low speed where the fighter jets caught up with it.

gravity based craft can bend reality around them. The clip of the ufo flying in air, dipping below water at speed, and back up, is proof that they clearly don't receive friction like normal aircraft. The story of a ufo dropping from 60,000 feet to sea level in under a second also shows this. (both the stories are military accounts).

This also means they would be impervious to impact weapons like artillery shells. The battle of los angeles shows this, thousands of shells fired at a UFO sitting in place an none hit.

If a UFO crashed 99% chance it was on purpose.

My point, if you’re capable of understanding it, is that ethnic conflicts require ethnicities to be in close proximity. If you’re in Europe, you cannot have disputes with Africans if they’re all in Africa. You cannot argue with a Chinese man if he’s in China. It’s not accidental that ethnic groups have mixed, someone is causing it to happen, and instead of removing those people and fixing the root issue you argue that an entire sector of the economy needs to be created to resolve these self-inflicted issues. That’s a bullshit job if I’ve ever heard one

>smooth talk both sides into a reasonable compromise.

Try smooth talking American ethnic groups to achieve equality of outcome. Of course and disparity is the fault of racism and white people! not cultural attitudes!

>This is the actual reason cashiers haven't been completely replaced by machines.

>cashiers have not been eliminated because people *negotiate* prices in america at corporate companies

No, cashiers exist because the current economic system is made to ensure you cannot collect any large amount of value, and making people stand around for 8 hours doing nothing for half of it, while paying them barely enough to get by is by design.

Someone else touched on the fact that ditch diggers get paid 1/3 the wage of an HR roastie, yet are infinitely more important for the smooth functioning of society. It's more of a mess when you add in MOST non labor low skill jobs are bullshit.

Every single restaurant, bank, or retail store can currently eliminate 90% of their staff and replace it with a more efficient store layout, informational app, and a backend payment/customer support system. Why don't they do this? economic policy to keep hands moving over producing real value.

You were clearly educated in the "government" theory of value. People make value... JUST BECAUSE OK!

Agreed, per above.
>Try smooth talking American ethnic groups to achieve equality of outcome.
We are, it's difficult but we're making headway. Be a part of the solution anon.
>No, cashiers exist because the current economic system is made to ensure you cannot collect any large amount of value, and making people stand around for 8 hours doing nothing for half of it, while paying them barely enough to get by is by design.
That's one perk of the job from the Capitalist's perspective, but you could do that with UBI. Cashiers exist not to allow customers to negotiate prices directly, but to mediate between customer desires and corporate policy (and are increasingly necessary the more of a clusterfuck the policies are). The most basic example is helping a customer navigate corporate's asinine stocking policies.
>Every single restaurant, bank, or retail store can currently eliminate 90% of their staff and replace it with a more efficient store layout, informational app, and a backend payment/customer support system.
The better solution would be to implement all of that, and then also hire above a minimum level. You work towards greater efficiency not just to increase throughput and productivity, but also in order to build in slack. The past 3 years should have beat into your head the idiocy of cutting costs to the bone. It increases risk and makes systems more fragile. It creates an environment where debt is necessary to maintain the status quo ("I need you to stay another shift because x called out sick.").

Prices can move in real and nominal terms. If I told you my pay/compensation increased 5% that is in nominal terms. If you consider the cost of living increased 10%, then my compensation actually decreased 5% in real terms.
In hyperinflationary environments, the price of housing can increase in nominal terms, but the actual upkeep, utility costs, repairs etc can eviscerate the real value of real estate. In Weimar Germany's troubles people were desperate to unload housing because they couldn't afford the upkeep. People have no idea how costly the urban sprawl development in America truly is. They have no idea how massive houses that need massive energy imputs to heat/cool can be amplified. It's like someone buying an SUV when gas is $1 per gallon. The second it moves to $5 per gallon suddenly your car choice looks fucking stupid.
There are a lot of variables to consider in the world of economics that I don't think people don't fully understand. An economy of selling hamburgers and craft beer to one another is not a recipe for success. Using leverage to spur on speculation in housing is not a plan for long term sustainability. We basically engaged in short term schemes to prop up financial products at the behest of sustainable viable economic practices and all of this misallocation of resources is going to be corrected rather violently. It's hard to expound on just how profound it is what I am saying when 99% of the people alive today in this country have never known any semblance of economic hardship in their lives. Their idea of a "crash" is nothing more than a money-making opportunity because they think free-money sloshing around is the norm and all they need to do is "buy the dip". Everyone where you look the U.S. economy is full of hot air, busted budgets, and tenuous service jobs propped up by American's use of credit cards.

It's probably because of Elon's shenanigans. They can't keep alternate propulsion hidden without giving SpaceX a total monopoly on the civilian space industry. After he pulled Starlink off the front lines in Ukraine that's not tenable anymore.

I'm a big fan of sportsball. The game is not rigged at all and does not have obvious examples of falls during the superbowl. I love Beyonsayy singing the same 3 songs from a decade ago.

there was that commercial with the grey rabbits at least.

citation needed, I'd argue we already hit our maximization of sitting on us with covid and work from home, because finances are so tight people have zero ability to actually choose what they want to do and so get by on the bare minimum, if people had the leeway of a fat stock portfolio they actually be able to have some mobility in what they want to work on, that's my argument anyway though with no precedent for that in history it's hard to see what would actually happen
