It really is surreal where video games are now compared to what they were when we were kids
For people of our generation, we can trace through almost the entire development of modern videogames up from the arcade/NES era to current gen, we can appreciate all the technical developments like a system having its own light, being able to be rechargeable as opposed to needing batteries, IRyS could also mention wi-fi and online vs needing wired technology just for local connection
And of course there are developments in game design also, quality of life changes you take for granted that weren't there in old school games, new game genres that didnt used to exist, advancements in art quality and music, probably a lot more that dont even come to mind
The kids that are born now are really going to be growing up with videogames in a different way than we did, they probably won't understand those changes even if you were to explain them, it's surreal to think about
