Kinda the opposite, actually. Because it's a 3.5" screen the pixel density is pretty high, so it's still fairly clear.

Can someone please tell me why the Analogue Pocket is so hyped up?

>Costs as much as an Odin
>Aspect ratio is only good for original Gameboy/Gameboy Color
>Have to buy a proprietary $100 dock to get any sort of video out
>Being cartridge compatible is a major selling point, but you have to spend another $130 for the cartridge adapters
>Highest it can emulate is GBA and SNES, requires homebrew to even use them
>Has less emulation features than an NES classic

For the low low price of $480 and a half year of waiting for shipping, you can have half the features of Anbernic RG35XX.

>B-But it's not emulating games, it's real hardware!

The most input lag you'll get with an emulator (or at the very least, the emulators that play the games Analogue is meant for) is 20-30ms. On a 30fps game, which is all this thing runs, that means less than a single frame of delay. Unless you're a hardcore speedrunner who's spent thousands of hours on a single game, you wouldn't even be able to tell which was which in a blind test.

The pocket's a scam for gaming "connoisseurs" with too much disposable income, and not enough sense to realize actual original hardware is not only cheaper, but more authentic.

My Analogue Pocket is finally arriving after ordering it 2 years ago. Better be worth the $200 and the 2 year wait for this thing. I realy want to play Gameboy Camera again.

Thoughts? Just a meme or something I should own? It seems like a cool device, and being able to play carts is definitely a plus for a collector like me.

Is Analogue really successful? They get a lot of attention from youtubers and press, but their products are expensive as shit and constantly out of stock. How are they still around?
