I can't remember what spurred it, but I once briefly entertained the idea of getting some friends together and seeing if we could gaslight various vtuber threads into thinking a fake group exists. Things like commissioning a ton of artwork of very specific "stream moments" that never happened from artists who don't release commissions publicly, having a general idea of the "characters" and their relationships, drop the occasional poorly made twitter tier meme of one of them in a vaguely related post, come out of nowhere with references to running jokes, character interactions, stream announcements to channels that don't exist, latest drama from thread arguments that never happened, and things like "fun stream but still not as good as when [character A] and [character B] did this", and never explain any of it if someone asks. Knowing no one would be interested enough to actually look them up, and that enough literal crazy people hang around that I might legitimately make someone think they've gone insane if they do.
I'm not a schizo, am I?
