I realize that this is the only chance for English voice acting, and I don't want it to be the new default Umineko experience. This is also my only chance to voice my displeasure about this sort of thing. I don't owe people who want it anything, just like they also don't owe my opinion anything.

Their interaction seems artificial and self-serving. The people behind this kickstarter aren't names that have been around forever, they're just using whoever's talking about their project to generate as much hype as possible. Which, whatever, that's business. It just feels completely artificial.

I'm sure reddit has a monopoly on putting a line break between distinct lines of thoughts. I'm sorry for infringing on their spacing copyright. We'll just have to agree to disagree on this one. Sorry. I really did watch the whole 20 minute demo video and I was very disappointed. The butchering of the opening, and the use of the anime opening instead of the visual novel opening put me in a bad mood from the outset. Compared to that the voices weren't quite as bad, but they were still aggressively average at best to me.

At least I'll be able to enjoy WTC5 when it gets translated someday.

If the Kickstarter succeeds, the update will be available to download for free. Hey guys, pdf anon here. Do you guys have any ideas on how to implement the choice in the 8th tip of Himatsubushi? There's a choice that asks you to choose between two boxes; a blue and red one. The way i've done it is that i've just entered a page break and the next chapter is titled Red Box, the reader will probably just continue reading chronologically and read the Blue Box chapter after the Red Box, so I put the messages that show up when you go back to pick the box you didn't pick the first time on the Blue Box chapter. It's not ideal, so I'm taking suggestions on how to implement it better.

The more I look at this the more I appreciate it. Your references in >>20198560 were really well picked I even recognize some of them as my own work. You've got the wide hips from her Kira bath scene and the full bust of her new Switch CG. It makes her look a bit stout from the front, but the side view really lets you appreciate her full figure. The hint of her buttocks peeking out from under the towel is a great touch as well, and you can also see the beginnings of cleavage at the front. Thanks. Yeah, I usually try to not forget about the little things that make it extra sexy, that's why I also try to gather as many refs as possible to be sure I'm not missing anything. Pretty satisfied of the body, now the face matter is still tricky, made it while trying to be accurate to Kira's, but I'm also considering maybe more doing Suzuragi's face for the club members, gotta experiment with that, and also with the expressions.

Yeah, the faces are definitely going to be tricky to pin down, since each character has been drawn by so many different artists over the years with lots of subtle (and not so subtle) variations. The manga's the worst when it comes to consistency. Still, I think you already did a fantastic job with Oishi, who's definitely one of the harder faces.

And again, just wanna stress how grateful I am to have someone with this level of skill creating content like this. You're already way beyond someone like me whose only skill is editing.

Oishi was easier to pick because his Kira design is just that solid compared to the rest, not that they’re usually bad but this version just works the best to me. For example I mentionned Suzuragi in my last post but man, her Oishi is really weird. Then again the untouched Steam version and whatever that nose is supposed to be probably takes the cake. As a whole, Deen really did a great job with Kira, the characters designs are
great.

Oh yeah, talking from experience guys faces are easier to sculpt than anime girls actually, because the latters are often not very well thought in 3d (front, 3/4 and profile that often doesn’t fir in one model) making it a pain to be as accurate as possible.

I’ve been fully focusing on improving my 2d & 3d skills for the past few years to start making a living out of it so there is that. I’ve contributed to the series a good amount in the past but it was more VN modding.

It's really helpful when you're able to pick a clear favorite from all the different artists to use as a reference. Kei Natsumi is my fave of the Umineko manga artists for example, and acts as a sort of "standard" in my mind.

Huh, that's pretty interesting. I would've assumed guys, especially older ones, would be harder since they're usually more detailed/unique as opposed to females who often suffer from sameface. But now that you mention it, it definitely makes since that faces designed purely for 2D wouldn't translate as well into 3D.

Nice. I've actually done the same, but in different ways. Been using Photoshop regularly for over 2 years now to practice image editing, and am currently studying to become a graphic designer. I've also done a bit with scanlating in the past (albeit with doujinshi).

The thing with 3d anime girl faces is that you can pretty much take forever retweaking each little bits of it and still not be satisfied, it can be really frustrating.

I certainly understand that feeling. Even the seeming simple edits I do can end up taking me a very long time, upwards of 8-10 hours tweaking minor details here and there. I can only imagine the hassle of doing the same thing with 3 dimensions, where you might think something looks good only to move the camera and hate the way it looks. But I think it's that level of scrutiny that produces the best results.
