The key to Silver is that you need to determine whether you want to compete on speed or hand value. Open hands are usually worth little, especially in Silver rooms, 1000-2000, relying on cheap wins. When you get a hand, identify if it could be a heavy hitter hand that would shut up nyaggers for good, or if you should play it quick and compete in speed.
Basically, a hand that has 10% to be completed worth 12000 points is worth more than a hand that has a 25% chance of being competed worth 1000 points.

Every season is filled with a collection of different fads that shift with times and it's always been the case. Did you know there is a fad for sol of cute girls doing manly things that gets at least 1 show a season? There hasn't really been any quality shift or the like in terms of what gets adapted. Fuck, people were complaining about "moeshit" killing the industry in the 80's/90's and you can still find some of those posts on usenet. I count 5 isekai and nothing more. This season is actually very stacked in terms of isekai and the avg is normally only like 3 or so. t. I watch almost half of every season each and every season. Now of course we have other stories that people will foolishly label as isekai but they aren't actually isekai while they might have been influenced by the fad. An example would be Shikkakumon no Saikyou Kenja but it's not an isekai while it is a reincarnation. At first glance you probably sit there screech ISEKAI REEE but in reality the manga is actually just another high school harem with reincarnation used as its entry point. These sort of derivatives are as old as anime itself. Princess Connect technically counts as isekai but that technicality only exists if you play the gacha and the anime is largely not caring about the actual game plot and doing its own thing to just be a fun series set in the games world.

Only a small portion of each season is isekai just like a decade ago only a small portion of each season was high school harems. Was there a lot, yea sure, but it wasn't the majority or even close to 20% of each season. You are clearly complaining about seasonal anime when you clearly don't actually watch it and likely haven't in a long time and are just complaining about new things like most people who bitch about seasonal anime.

Now if we actually wanted to bitch about something it would be the slow increase each season of low quality chink shit. And I don't mean things chinese are producing but actual chinese works that are absolute dogshit. You could also bitch about the low quality gacha adaptations that sometimes take up 3 slots in a season which in some seasons if I'm remembering correctly was more than there was isekai.

Not really, quality looks pretty consistent throughout the decades to me since manga adaptations have became popular. SoL is the exact same, the seasonal mature anime for mature adults like me have been the same for a long long time (it's normally detective ones anyway) and the good ones have always been super rare. Ecchi anime with time gets "better" in that shit is getting more lewd as time progresses. Mecha has always been hit and miss and not sorry to big mecha fags but most old mecha is not that great. The big thing old mecha had was studios would put effort into handrawing it and putting the studio out of business trying to do so since they had no other choice. Isekai is just the modern high school harem and in general I'd say the quality of them is much higher than the latter half of the high school harem fad. There is a bunch of fads that cycle every year but overall the quality of the material is pretty much the same as always.

If we wanted to discuss why people perceive modern seasonals as "worse" then that can actually be easily explained with nostalgia and rose tinted glasses. People generally look back fondly at the very small amount of good shows they watched and forget all the trash they went through for them. Likewise for a lot of people a long time ago anime was newer to them and they hadn't consumed as much. As a result newer things don't look as exciting or interesting to older viewers while to newer viewers obviously latest seasonal is the greatest anime ever!!!11!11! We could have a pretty big discussion about this but ultimately I don't think there has been any real shift in the quality of seasonal adaptation anime. Now, originals? That's actually a completely different story. Those have absolutely gone down as time goes on as they become less passion projects and more studios trying to make a golden goose to try and keep the studio afloat.

The majority of every seasonal since always has been average trash.
