Can speak for Metal Gunslinger, F-Zero climax, Klonoa Heroes, Elemix, Dancing Sword, anything GBA and Summon Night if the first 2 are anything to go by, Gundam Seed Destiny includes the entire english Gundam Seed Battle Assault game as an extra, though the extra chars in the main version make it improved. It's actually a nicish if jankier follow up to the Gundam Wing SNES fighter. Pinobee's weird 'doing good/bad things changes the story' aspect was kind of neat, as generic as the game was.

Speaking of Jap-only GBA games, I've been playing through the Bomberman Jetters game on it. It is a completely different game compared to the GameCube game, and actually, a bit of a interquel to the anime series (takes place between episodes 1 and 2). It's pretty fun. You'd like it if you enjoyed Bomberman Tournament (exact same gameplay), or enjoy the Bomberman Jetters anime. But, you kind of need a guide to beat it.

Metarod R so far is like "playing the anime" as the game is heavily based on the anime to the point of having the same events.

There's one major difference.
All saves are temporary except for when you start a new day in the case (when the game asks you to save).
Whenever you reload a manual save, it deletes itself, with your penalties building up. When you run out, it's a guilty verdict, and the only save to reload from is from the beginning of that day. Me thinks it's more tense that way, but maybe they removed it because the game wouldn't remember to fast forward the already seen lines.

One of the mobile ports actually kept it that way and was a direct port from GBA, language aside. Even the arrangements used were from GBA. But users complained and it got patched / pulled (a Multi language version replaced with En/Jp only, too)

Shame...
The change carried on to the original version of GS4 (Apollo Justice)
>dividing cases to days has no point anymore
Gyakuten Kenji (Investigations) started lowering penalties, on top of lower difficulty
>penalties have no point anymore
Then GS5/6... if you actually get a guilty verdict, you get to choose Continue/Not, and if you continue the game puts you back in the last question you got wrong, with all penalties refilled
>game overs, all choices, have no point anymore

Maybe if Crapcom didn't kill the series, it would have turned it into a point and click with no possible fail state, like Layton Brothers.

Yeah i forgot to put patched roms in there. The list is really in its infancy. I'm going through each game one at a time and playing them for a little bit so clean it up some more, and then ideally I'd like to try and beat as many as I can without too much guidework. I'm more interested in what I included that isn't going to be easily playable. I have some ideas of how to aggregate all this into something more palpable for the rest of the internet at some point. I've already taken a bunch out of the uploaded GB list from my personal files. I will update it when I make it through all of them for at least fifteen minutes. Going to take a while.

In Klonoa Heroes, the speed status also affects accuracy and evasion (even though it's a beat 'em upish game), so you'll frequently end up setting stats to atk and spd but no def. I'm interested in those dedicated portable emulators but since I don't have the money for one at the moment I'm hoping and praying they either come down in price (unlikely, this shit is kept in a bubble forever) or I can wait long enough that they'll iron out the kinks in software and build quality.

Engrish-esque. Bomberman-like and a play on the phrase "booby trap".

Has anyone tried the English translation of the Spanish version on a GBA? I tried it on my 3DS (which has GBA hardware in it) and it didn't work, would love to see if it functions properly on an actual GBA since I don't have a flashcart.

This one has passwords related to real life tcg that came with the third GBC game to unlock things, but even Japanese sites don't list them...

Upon watching a jap playthrough, I also found there is a secret story route that I had no idea about when I used to own the cart for this game!
The endgame is hell. 9 minigames at max difficulty in a row with no saves (and the continue function is missable), the last three back-to-back...

It had a sick soundtrack. Got to play it to the end on cart and even completed 100% of Edward's alchemy skills list on trial-and-error.

I don't know about that.
How about ripping the cutscenes from the Wii game and giving it off to some anime fansub group, considering it's mostly anime cutscenes by same anime stuff as Brotherhood?
