Big hats are the most important symbols of public authority. The bigger the hat? The more important the wearer.

If you see a witch or a dark mage and they can't see past the brim of their own hat then that means they're at LEAST an archmage. They don't need you to help them cross the street, they can see just fine, shut up.

A Hatter would be the type to celebrate Tea Hate Day more than any other. She'd throw a grand party at enormous expense. It would be a decadent festival where everyone would be invited to talk about how much they despise tea.

Tea would still be served, of course, and thoroughly enjoyed by all of the tea-hating guests.

The taller a Hatter's hat is, the higher her level.
