In a few decades half of Japan will be senior citizens. Does that sound like a good investment to you?

Doubtful. Japan's economy has been on life support for 30 years. In a vacuum Japan would do fine, they'd continue floating along in limbo. Problem is, China's economy is in absolute shambles and Japan's economy is directly downstream from them. Japan cannot absorb external shocks they are barely getting by as it is. And unlike other countries Japan never stopped printing money, they literally can't afford not to.

A couple other factors should be considered. The Japanese people are very homogeneous, literate, intelligent, resilient and most importantly very conscientious. They have excellent infrastructure. They have a history of changing course as a nation in unison almost over night and making a success of it. They also hate personal debt and have almost none. Finally, their government, although occasionally corrupt and slow, actually feels a duty to serve the country and the people. These factors give it an edge - maybe a big edge - over China and most of the West.

Japan's single biggest problem is its domination by the USA. Consequently, one of the best things that could happen to Japan, once the shock is over, is to have the American empire fall.

Outside of Taiwan and perhaps some eastern European states, what other country doesn't benefit massively from the fall of the US empire? You could argue Israel, but they're Jews and they'll jew up to whoever the next world power/powers are. Pretty much the entire world would celebrate the end of the US empire.

Japan has a horrendous demographic picture, I don't get why aren't they even attempting to attract more immigrants like other developed economies (like Europe and Canada) have successfully done

Come to a tech industry meetup in Tokyo
It's all whites, filipinos and jeets.
Outside of that, the the Japanese gov't believe they can still solve the situation internally by making Japan "family friendly", but it's probably too late. Japanese pussies refusing to accept a fertile creampie are ushering in a malthusian collapse

Japan is developed, their is only so much growth if you're considering investing in indexes.

I'd be looking for the next South Korea, a country that rises astronomically over 20 years.

I can only really see China as that country but idk how to invest in that, but I have 120k in TSMC and that's doing nice.

You have to take into account what other investments will be doing in 20 years. Do you see another country be as productive as japan in 20 years? You can ry demographic collapse all you want but other first world countrie are in the same spot but with niggers who will abandon ship once gibs stop flowing.
