USD stable coins are less risky and more interest bearing than cash in the bank at this point.

Absolutely not.

Keep £3k ~ incase of emergencies I.e. your car conks out or etc

The other £13k - put one third of it into silver at the very least. I'd suggest one third in Cardano also but fuck crypto as everyone has an opinion

Silver is no risk, seriously

Of course, anon.

Your FIAT vapour-credits are becoming less and less valuable by the minute, literally.

Whether you invest it in crypto, or in gold, or in stonks, whatever you do, invest it. Capital is meant to generate more of itself.

I recommend altcoins as a sure fire way to multiply your money. Once done with the riskier assets, then cash out and move on to creating a stable business.

$BZRX
$KAVA
$ETH
$NEC
$LEND
$YFI

And more. All of the above will multiply your dosh.

None. Reason: it's not your money. You are literally giving your money to the bank so that they may use it for whatever they wish. They can freeze your account at any time for any reason and they report ANY suspicious activity directly to the IRS.

They lie about inflation through hedonic adjustments. It's the line they always play. "oh no inflation is below 2% so we don't have to worry about printing too much". Well one day they will not be able to rehypothecate the cpi. Use biard mint if you want gold.

As for the UK you need to look up how much debt they've just took, a year's worth of GDP just for coronavirus. Also the interest rates in the bank which for me is 0.01%, utter rape on the spot. It's time to take risk, be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when they are greedy.

If you aren't prepared to hold for at least 5 years don't buy crypto. If you think you are getting a bad deal with the current price then buy £500 worth each week or whatever. You aren't a hot shot trader so the only valid strategy is to buy and hold. I would recommend 40% btc, 30% eth, 20% in one of ada ltc xmr xrp then last 10% in link. This is a 'diversified' portfolio but obviously still subject to the volatility crypto is notorious for. The second option is to go all in on one of the listed coins. Final option is to play shitcoin roulette and get 5-10% each of coins shilled on biz in the $30-$150m market cap range. Personally I choose the first option - obviously the march crash totalled it but currently on a modest double digits percent return since I started in 2018. Maybe that's not worth the risk exposure but only time will tell what the upside or downside potential is. Good luck.

I learned this the hard way. My car's transmission suddenly gave out and I only ever keep $1k in my bank account at a time. Now I don't want to sell any of my holdings so I'll have to ride bike and get things delivered until a few paychecks can buy me another car.

That allocation seems fine. Medium term upside potential is probably around 3x but that's enough for a deposit in most places with the money you're playing with. Then again I would say the same potential is there for btc except with lower downside risk (still high of course) so I would think about adding it into the mix at least 15%. Main thing is to religiously buy your £500 worth of crypto every month do not attempt to time the market.

Drop XRP, way too many bagholders and its use case has been proven useless (banks dont use it). Buy BTC and more ETH for safe bets, LINK also fine. With the current macro environment we should see 50k USD BTC and 2k ETH minimum, as Ray Dalio pointed out "cash is trash" right now.
