This type of contract isn't going to be the first types of contracts given, it won't require 1 second validations. Yes chainlink needs ETH or another to scale to maximize it's potential, so does every other project.

Short term it doesn't matter because no one is using smart contracts anyway, it's going to be basically an open beta for at least a year after mainnet launch.
If it comes down to it they will move to a competitor, the thing you think of as "chainlink" is just 3 smart contracts and can be ported to whatever.

Boy, you need to educate yourself. It takes a while to catch up to the goings on of the crypto world but it is valuable knowledge. I for one do it to escape crippling depression and loneliness. Read, every day. I started off watching YouTubers, but after a while you start to realize most of them are retards and/or shills. Boxmining will always have a place in my heart despite his shameless shilling of Chink scams. Start by trying to really understand the bitcoin white paper. The math itself isn't super important but the entire architecture is. Good luck.

The design is to answer queries.

If you just want an up to date, second to second data feed, go to the sauce you brainlet.
ChainLink it to allow smart contracts to run based off of the data source. It's not intended to be a fucking data feed.

I've been in LINK pretty much since the beginning and yes, this is actually the only legit FUD out there, there is simply no hiding it.
Ironic thing is that it makes CL look even better on one hand since the only valid piece of FUD is not even about CL itself but the blockchain(s) it's gonna work with, but regardless it is a barrier and it's gonna suck really bad if CL is complete and ready for mass adoption but there is no scalable and secure blockchain to run it on. (especially since vitalik would rather jerk off in public or do a badger dance than fix this mess)

>>10378913
They seem to not be bothered by this problem which makes me wonder why. They either think that the adoption will be slow anyway so that eth's scalability won't be a bottleneck or they believe it will scale faster than we think. Other options are that companies/banks won't use a public blockchain anyway and it's easy to make private blockchains scalable.

Everytime the price of gold is requested (every second lets say) that will all be handles by chainlink's network of oracles. Not ethereum at all. Once a contracts executes because the price of gold hit the specified price conditions then and only then will a single ethereum network transaction execute paying out the relevant parties. Ethereum will still need to scale however nowhere near as high as the op expects.

Let me get this straight. You guys went all in on a shitcoin, literally praying that it will take off, and you can’t even reconcile how it will handle scaling? This isn’t just an issue, it is THE main problem with LINK: LINK is just another token on the Ethereum network, a network that can’t scale for shit. And Ethereum’s commie creator is too busy advocating for “social change” or whatever instead of fixing it.

WHO'S PUSHING. Who the fuck would push this shit token, which has no volume and has been trending down since last year. There's no market makers, because there actually has to be a market to make profit. The only reason whales would have to create bagholders is out of pure malice. If they wanted to dump, it first has to pump, which it hasn't. You think there's been a shill campaign on here for months to make a minuscule profit when there are plenty of others they can actually make money off?
