I actually think some posters with ridiculously high share counts are designed to be discouraging. Even on reddit, someone posted 20k shares, and thats like yo good for them but they're coming from an extremely privileged or immensely idiotic background if they're able to invest like that. I have ~2k and thats from trickling paycheck to paycheck into it and its been tight when you consider how the economy has gone to shit. Ill be relieved when its over so I can stop obsessing about the stock. If you bought anywhere outside a few specific instances in the last 3 years, you're ahead on your investment.
