REFR mooning edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Exactly. LT cap gains, ST cap gains, doesn't matter. Still a tax that you will get hit by for not abusing the loophole for a retirement account. You aren't taking advantage of an employer match (free fucking money) or the tax benefits. You are just taking the cap gains taxes straight to the face.

Insider buying was good. I did some research on the management and they seemed like the type to be trying to "build something" and not just cash out.
Most of my bullishness comes from having the stock for months with little/no movement and how all the price action reeks of institutions. Really strong supports in the 1.40s.
Not to mention the institutional purchases already disclosed by Lilly Eli and Valence Helix.

I don't have any money in VTSM but if I did I would watch pre-market like a hawk tomorrow. If the volatility ramps up like crazy at 9:20 then it's def gonna dump at open. You can sometimes get a good 50%+ more if wait until after open (and I mean like 30seconds-5minutes after open), but its not a definite rule.

If it doesn't move around like crazy pre-market you might get a day out of it. But unless there's news, a PR, catalyst or some fundamentally good new causing the stock to rise don't think its going to make any lasting headway.

70% of breakouts fail
You want it to break out in first try
If not each consecutive try gets less likely
But if it keeps trying, like 7+ then it starts getting more likely for break out

>Man, the FDA is just determined to kill ecigs in their infancy

I saw that. Maybe Altria cheapies incoming if there is kneejerk selling. It's a weird timing though. The FDA commissioner Scott Gottlieb put this thing through but he's quitting in a month. Then what happens? It's pretty silly to ban particular flavors just because they may appeal to children. Canada is doing the same with the edible cannabis legislation, trying to ban sweet pastries and such.
