buyers market 2 edition

>I'm new to the stock market, what stocks should I buy?
Before you buy anything, make a brokerage account and read investopedia articles and/or the books in the OP list. If you don't have a broker, you can't buy stocks and if you blindly buy things without understanding how the stock market works or doing any research on the individual stocks you're buying, you will lose money and it will be entirely your fault.

Everybody talks about e-mobility, about self-driving cars and car sharing, about a transformation that is happening in the automotive sector. OEMs are under stress because once e-mobility ticks in there will be less cars needed. Car usage time will (i) increase due to car-sharing services and self driving cars and (ii) demand for owning cars will shrink because more people are expected to live in urban areas where parking space is expensive and where transport options exist.

Seeing demand for cars to decrease is bad news for OEMs and here the Gauzy engagement with Daimler comes in as it offers new income streams for OEMs. If we think it through we may see car-sharing possibilities that will largely be paid by ads. When the car is parked ads will be shown on their windows. This can be targeted by taking locations (and smart phone users) into account.

That Daimler is engaged is a very positive sign. Daimler owns car2go, a car sharing service. BMW owns DriveNow and other OEMs are engaged in this field as well. Other competitors are rental car companies such as Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Budget, Enterprise, Sixt and ride hailing companies such as DiDi, Uber, Lyft and taxis.

Which car would you want to drive if you don't own one or if you need one? Most people would take the most cost effective option. If ads can reduce the costs of using a car we will have something like Google or Facebook where advertisements pay for the service.

Best of luck, Daimler and may the others listen!

It's easier if you have software to monitor the bid/ask price. Basically it boils down to
>asks above market price get bought in huge chunks
>bids for small amounts at incrementally higher numbers rapidly/simultaneously (2 at .0001, 2 at .0002, 2 at .0003... etc)
>upward price movement causes people to fomo into it at an engineered price above market
>dump occurs at top and all that fomo money goes into a handful of pockets

There's all sorts of chart indicators to look for, there's probably an investopedia article about it or something. I found its best to learn to intuit it though. I have about 200 dollars in crypto that I play around with on the weekends and train myself how to beat P&Ds (because that's literally all crypto is at this point).

Yeah man. Were you literally born yesterday?

But plane crashes happen, sometimes they happen close to each other in time. It seems likely that the pilots weren't trained adequately for the new software.

Because of how important Boeing is to the US economy, people are going to make a big deal out of this. Notice how quickly China banned that use of the planes? Not a coincidence. And these things are scary so they get a lot of play in the media. If it bleeds it leads.

Perception is more important than reality here, the thought of danger is worse than the actual danger. Boy will pump out a software update just to ease everyone's mine, regardless of whether there's anything that needs improvement. Nope, I can't
It was a speculative gamble based largely on the company's short float and institutional ownership percentage
If it had gone well, there could have been a short squeeze, which is what I was talking about with the price targets earlier
This drug had just been brought to market, so there was no significant preliminary sales data available to indicate how well it was selling
If it had sold better than people expected, then that could have been a catalyst for a short squeeze based on the fact that the stock had previously been dragged down from $10 after their drug was approved by massive amounts of shorting, and institutional investors have been increasing their positions the whole way down

>Tell me how that's any different than some random anon buying into GALT because he saw it was a few points up and wanted to be apart it? How is it different?

Both retarded
A nicer way to say it would be "it's a bad idea to buy something without doing your own research on it beforehand because you aren't taking into account the potential risks of the investment, and you also likely don't even really have an idea of what it is you're actually investing in", but we're on 4chan

Stock noob here, I'm not going to do the usual hurr duur what buy, but I HAVE been trying to do my own research. After attempting my own P/E calculation on Boeing and comparing it to robinhood's information I seem to either be off somewhere or the information presented on Robinhood is a massive miscalculation or misleading.

The EPS for the last quarter of 2018 was 5.98, and non GAAP adjusted 5.48. This should be a simple matter, I just divide the EPS by the price at the time to get an idea of what the P/E ratio was around that time. Let's use Jan 15th as the supposed timeframe, I don't have enough time right now to look too far into it.

>stock price $350
>EPS $5.48
We get a P/E ratio of 63.86 at the time of the 4th quarter 2018 statement. But yet on Robinhood it displays the P/E ratio at a mere 21.00

Can anyone explain to me what the fuck this means exactly other than my own lack of stock value estimation? Because to me it seems like shenanigans are afoot, the P/E ratio is even higher with the current prices adjusted. I have to go to bed and wagecuck tomorrow so I can't respond tonight but i'll put it on auto and read it tomorrow morning, thank you anons if anyone bothers replying.
