Ship's Engineer Report 1.2 - With the Promise and her science team lost, my engineers are now analyzing the subversion entity we have codenamed, "Fubuki." Fubuki seems to infect others with a kind of particle beam that layers the target with what seems to be some kind of cell or extremely complex molecular assembly. Once these entities make contact with a compatible surface, they begin to absorb material and infiltrate the target's structure. When they make contact with neurons of any type, they hijack them to grow an alternative neural network, which then overrides and takes control of the victim. Each Fubucell functions like a necromantic virus. It's capable of using and subverting dead tissue much in the same way that it subverts and uses living organics. More studies need to be done...but we are engineers, not biologists. Analysis of the infection attack indicates that the Fubuparticles ride the charged plasma beam and then coat the target. The charged nature of the beam allows it to jump from target to target. Infection per shot seems based on the mass of the target. Again, more qualified analysis is desperately needed if we are to find a counter to this beam.

I really like your imagery. The depictions of the scenery was pretty immersive and I enjoyed the prose you have for it. I only wish more of it could have been explored before things stepped up the gear. That said, I'm looking forward to what comes next, since the setup and worldbuilding you have has me interested.

I think some more insight to how Anon processes things and his own viewpoints might go a long way in a story like this. With this chapter alone he seems like he becomes tailored to whatever the characters interacting with him need or want. While Mumei's "proof" is compelling, to me there would be too many questions. If she is a guardian like she says, why not quiz her on events that took place throughout humanity? Are there more like her? Even if nature is forced to relent, where does that leave him if Mumei has not found any other humans still alive before him? What happens if Mumei gets hurt? Does she have a tie to humanity similar to Fauna and Nature? Who is Anon even to decide if it's right for him to help one god over another? What if this is the course the earth is meant to take? Those kinda things would be interesting to include and add more depth to the interactions and connections.

This is really cool. Aside from what the other anon said, i think you could "slow down" a little and spend time with our duo on next chapters.

Right now its a bit speedy how things are just "this is the objective, lets go" which isnt exactly a problem, but just leaves you wanting some more. My suggestion is to focus a bit on what Anon thinks, how he's processing this and how he perceives or sees Mumei.

Aside from that i can only share that i always like to think as mumei "choosing" her face to approach you, since the real Mumei is the small thing in the MV. Its kind of cool to think as Mumei as this "collection" of things human find comfort in
