That's the funny thing, they weren't. So Hll anon finds the furry model and tries to get the fur out of it and does it by training chuubas and a bunch of artists on top (like 1000 artists by the end of it). And it works! The fluff is gone and after a few iterations the brownout filter is gone too. So we end up with a model that is similar but opposite of pony. Could do porn, had bland backgrounds compared to 1.5 but to make it not be furry-centric people had to use HLL, therefore it was a chuuba model which makes it an anthitesis of Pony with the removed chuubas' names.
I am a bit subjective as in the same range I got my second GPU and started using comfy but I think I spent 3 days trying to merge the damn v-pred model with anything else. The lesson is that v-pred and EPS don't really mix together but I haven't tried merging them in a long while
It was a pretty fun era for me even though I didn't use EF that much compared to other anons.

As for what makes it better I'm not sure yet but I've been meaning to try a merge with Kivotos for a while.
Not sure which style you want but there are other models out there that can do styles. iirc Artiwaifu was even stronger in styling for some artists than other models but the weird prompting and somewhat shoddy linework kind of killed it.

This gen was WAY harder than I anticipated it to be. I tried it on leek without loras but couldn't get the spread going, everything else was fine. Then I switched to autismmix and had to plug in both the Botan lora and armpit spread lora, after about 20 gens I finally got this workable seed and tuned it with extra tags and hand adetailer. Can someone confirm my skill issue or this pose is actually hard to prompt?

What the hell is the point of the model if its going to regurgitate AI gens into itself? If they added the "ai artists" into the mix ALONG with regular artists, sure I can accept it, but removing the actual artists?! Not to mention, what "popular AI artists" are we even speaking of? Because the ones I see on pixiv prompt absolute garbage fetishes with the most basic style slop, not even paying attention to anatomy/hands/fingers etc. There are of course, a few exceptions of artists who actually care and try their best to upload their best work with finetuning and spending hours to perfect a gen. For example, most anons from here do that - Biboo-anon, TWLAnon, FBM-anon, the list goes on. I too upload best of the best of my work on pixiv and only after I carefully check and tune every gen in photoshop to make it as appealing as possible.

The part about forgetting previous styles is due to how models are being trained. When a lora is trained and is used on top of a model, or when a model is finetuned, it is not an adding onto the existing knowledge and it does not add new neurons or parameters, it changes the existing ones.
Maybe with Liquid Neural Networks we can have something that works this way but they are far in the future if they will even work for imagegen (tried to train one myself these days but I'm definitely screwing something up as I cannot recover my own image from the latent space and get only smoke vaguely shaped like the input image instead https://files.catbox.moe/pcbq0j.png )

I am unlike many who likes 2.5D AOM style, I wouldnt ever want it to go flatter. We have plenty of models like that now but I havent seen another 2.5D hybrid. Then again it's dangerous territory and I don't want it to go into 3DPD range. Like those Shiori gens above

If a model sucks and is not to my liking, I'll simply not use it when there are much better alternatives, simple as. AI is progressing with each day, so far it has been going in a great direction. But I still cannot fathom why would anyone use AI gens for a dataset when training a model.

Turns out I had a bit of time. Found out that the lyco I used significantly brightens the gen; shame, because I really liked the look.

Went with a different artist mix that I initially thought was decent, but I didn't like how it looked towards the end. Might be partially due to the Moona lora. Sorry that you're the guinea pig Anon, hope you enjoy anyway. Kronii next (probably also with a different mix).

jk. but I go on bursts of scouring for artists. going onto danbooru and looking up obscure tags that are more frequently used on good artists like "scenery", "colorful", "impressionism". i keep clicking on good looking pictures until i see an artist with at least ~100 pictures. plug into NAI, see if it works. rarely, I go on pixiv, find a work with an interesting style, and follow the artist. pixiv is pretty good at recommending artists with similiar vibes. then i just keep following that train and plugging in those names into danbooru/NAI until something pops up that works. and of course, just keeping out an eye on the day to day.
i dunno, there's a few other flavors of searching for artists on danbooru. i just like looking at nice pictures man.
