Management had a full year during which they could request and review storyboards, concept art, and preliminary versions of the video. There is no way in hell they didn't know exactly which characters would appear in the video several months in advance. Despite all this they were still unable to get "confirmation" for it at any point, they were also unable to say that some of those characters could not appear in the video. Instead they wait until the product is finished and ready to go live at the set deadline, then say that the audio is fine but this "confirmation" is missing, then after it has been published they take it down and say it may have to be changed. At best they were lazy and incompetent, at worst they were actively sabotaging one of their talents.
