I've seen plenty of complaints about Crunchyroll collaborations over the years. First series of collabs was met with shitload of pushback from anons. Later ones obviously had lesser reaction but it was still there. When Advent had interviews with Crunchyroll, there was a number of people who complained about it but were willing to give it a pass because we learned something new about the girls.

To sum it up, I can understand why Cover collabs with CR and accept that's happening but at the same time I fully understand people who are unhappy about it and I think it's good that they continue to voice their complaints. That's what this board is for, posting unfiltered opinions about vtubers. There's no real harm to it. I'm much more bothered by people who are trying to silence such opinions.

They started off by stealing free fansubs and putting them behind paywall, most scummy behavior you could do in the fandom. Then they somehow managed to convince JP companies that they want to go legal. Their actions led to multiple fansub groups receiving DMCA letters because now they were Crunchyroll's competition, even though Crunchyroll was founded on stealing their work. Crunchyroll also provides lower quality subs than fansubbers used to make. End result is most of fansubbing groups are dead, we don't have alternatives to CR translations (admittedly they're usually pretty good but some are bad and in such case fans are screwed) and overall quality of subbed anime is much lower.
If you're familiar with what fakku did, that's quite a similar case.
