I’d say her whole insanity arc started somewhere around very early 2021. That was the time things started piling up for her (more meetings, company stuff, her mother ending up in a bad state at the hospital sometime in January among other things, also this was around the time she did that dreaded R-Type stream).
I feel like even though she knew the workload was getting heavier and heavier, she couldn’t really let go of those long streams because she believed that was the thing she was known the most for in Hololive and having to tone it down put a massive burden on her mind, thinking fans would forget about her and start hating on her because she didn’t stream as much compared to a year prior when she was streaming several >12 hour streams a month.
What I really noticed was her lack of control. Everytime she did end up doing a long stream that year, she would forget how much time she’s been awake for, most famous case being the 14-hour Yoshi’s Crafted World back in July followed by a DBD collab only several hours after she ended and realizing she had been up for almost 2 days straight because of other work (and she barely even slept afterwards because of a Spelunker sponsored stream the day afterwards).
I still remember anons defending her on here during that time. We were still two separate threads I think, good times. I wonder if they’re still around…
