NijiEN is 3rd because there's no other big corpo. Holo has like 4x the number of vod views across the branch, and dead subs are still people that have once upon a time heard about Holo. Then consider that good chunk of Luxiem's subs are also from CN/TW/JP.
Sure Hololive is indisputably the top dog, but Holo's audience is shrinking and Niji's audience is growing. I don't know why people doompost so much about the girls being unsuccessful or "irrelevant" just because Luxiem exists. Literally the only sign that NijiEN is doing poorly is 100% from management's abuses and favoritism, as if they actually want the girls to fail. The streamers themselves and the way the audience responds to their content seems very favorable. Occasionally they hit the algorithm really hard and some short or cover song or a random stream blows up like Pomu's MGS stream. If they were actually irrelevant stuff like that wouldn't happen. Being 3rd place "just because no one else can compete" is not the worst position to be in if you're still on the incline instead of resting on your laurels. Once again the way the girls are being treated is adversely affecting fans' perceptions of the branch more than their actual content. If they were getting the numbers they get in any company that doesn't have the Nijisanji name their management would be sucking their dicks and throwing endless projects and support their way.
