Hi, I've been playing on ybc for some time and I want to ask something.
I make datapacks, and i've started working on one where every oshi tag gives special abilities/effects to players. These are based on oshi lore/traits or other stuff.
For instance, kronies can stop time for 10s around them, hoomans can fly, have wings and have night vision, chumbuds swim fast and breath under water, do more dmg with trident. etc..
I've already done like 16 tags and i have ideas for other tags. I try to make them as balanced as possible, and have them all be slightly op in their own way.

I debug it on a paper server with an alt.
Do you think this could be a nice addition to yubicraft? I think it would make for very nice pvp events, and make the tags really satisfying to have

I don't really agree. First, players exploiting tags is easy to fix. You can make a simple rule to only give powers to players who have had the tag for over 2 weeks or smth. Or just manually activate them.
Then about balancing; sure, some abilities will be better in certain situations, but I don't see a problem with it if they're all unique or useful in their own way. wdy think

That's a very big if.
For an event it might be cool, but in regular play where building takes 90% of our time, anything that makes movement easier is an automatic win and combat stuff is mostly irrelevant.
Also many of JP holos are pretty much normal people, so you will have to really stretch their "expanded lore" to get anything notable.
