Hello /nasfaqg/, I need help with armchair timeloops, even if we don't have those that often anymore in always thinking about them. So, I think I've hit a wall with progress and would love to hear your inputs on the matter.
As for the problem I'm trying to tackle:

The second one came to me after Miyatsuko "debuted", make a group and just pump a retard up through auctions, given the tools that we have right now its an actual good solution to the climbing problem, problem here is, what happens with the solo rankers? Are they forced to join/make a group or be forever fucked?
Not to mention that zaibatsu stuff is pretty much the multicoin stuff, but instead of being buffed you "spread" the multicoin between all the members to come out profiting in the end.
So this brings me to the third solution, which is... I don't have one, which is why I'm asking for your opinions and insight, anything goes, from new mechanics to revamping old ones (like volatility for example), the only thing that I have here myself is that adjustment doesn't matter for high ranks, in a sense that people no longer check their numbers or big streams that are coming up, how to make use of that? I also don't know...

On the topic of corpos now, I have three suggestions:
- Make money transfers a feature. They are already happening with the auctions and no one is getting banned for it, so the devs seem to be fine with them. Make it a feature then.
- Make player-owned corporations an in-game feature. Should allow players from outside the aggay to form groups themselves and it could interact nicely with other game features for example: making money transfers in-group tax free or something.
- Allow players (and player-owned corporations) to issue bonds as a form of raising capital. It would allow you to invest in other players and groups and should make the game more interactive. Bond are a form of debt so it could even create risk as issuing bomb with a high interest rate could get you bankrupt. Basically make loaning a feature.
I don't think any of these are usually mentioned when it comes to game features and I think they would be really good for the game. Please give them some though.

The way Multibuy is designed, it should only be used for long-term investments and oshicoining. Even with money laundering, there's a limit to how much you can make in a week, and a cost associated with that money laundering. If it were me I'd add a 0 or two to the cost to roll the gacha, and tell the poorfags to eat shit. Gacha should be for richfags with nothing better to do with the money. The other money also has to come from somewhere, or the other zaibatsu players will lose position. Sure, all of the rest of Miyatsuko could dump everything they've got into Priestess to take Cypher down a peg, but that's retarded and only leaves Priestess with an inflated networth to defend a #1 position against a ThinkPad basically playing NASFAQ like a TAS.
A zaibatsu can move their money around, but all of the players have to be playing at least decently themselves. This doesn't take Solos off the board. Not yet, anyway.

Big problem here is that this snake is eating itself.
Lower the taxes on Multicoin (buying) you inevitably attract people buying to hold which will make coin stacking and divvies stronger, they'll have to be adjusted down AGAIN stagnating the whole thing.
Now if we removed them from SELLING that's another story, didn't crunch any numbers but it would at least make for the interesting dilemma that you'll have to buy them back at some point if the divvies are good enough, see FBK. Sales might go up, ultimately maybe even slowing the ascend?
Needless to say the fattest stacks profit the most from this but I don't think unless you reset the whole thing we can avoid that cypher profits the most from ANY situation

so first things first you want to rate the starting hands of all players, you go around from the dealer since they'll do the usual first discards anyways (hatsu, single honors, single terminals etc.)
Comment on any hands sticking out (Chanta hands, Chiitoi, really fast Riichis) and you're golden.
If you can calculate fast enough comment on potential points (disregarding ura-dora for now) or at least main Yaku and combinations so the viewers (mostly beginners in our case) can get a feel for danger on the field.
Then you'd set the situation into perspective. Doesn't say much for game 1 (25k all) but commenting on potential changes in South 2 can show chances for upsets. Zaibatsu does two things that affect leaderboard movement, so they should be noted as separate not to confuse them.
The first is pumping the HQ account that represents the company on the leaderboard. This is the only reasonable way to move an account up at high ranks right now, but it comes at the expense of other members' wealth, so by itself, it frees the room to climb for people below. It's not done for profit, but rather to raise the company's standing - you shouldn't think of priestess's position as his ranking, but rather the company ranking itself.
The second is liquid sharing. This is what you saw in auctions before the 'debut,' which slowly brings the ranks of the members closer together. High-ranked players contribute money to lower-ranked players at their individual loss, but net gain of the group since it does generate higher profits in the long-term, even when factoring in taxes by speeding up growth. This is possible only because the group members are oriented around increasing the total in-group profit rather than being concerned about individual net worth.

Before any Zaibatsu transactions took place, I asked devchama (when he popped up in the aggie) if large transactions made via auctions would be okay, and he said it is allowed. It technically is a feature even though it wasn't the original intended use of the auction system.
I also fully support any feature that would make it much easier for players relying on the site alone to get in touch with one another without relying on external resources like the aggie.
The third point hits the nail on the head why loaning isn't a thing right now - the issue is that you cannot enforce someone to default on a loan. You can only trust them to pay back, and usually, the players you trust are players you knew for a long time... who are generally relatively high and would offer almost nonexistent profit margins on loan. The risk of them quitting before repayment or refusing to repay, even if it's as low as 1%, is probably enough to make the endeavor fruitless. If there is a way to forge and enforce contracts, it will help with financial instruments like bonds and loans for individual players or even in-company matters for groups. It would also make holding liquid a good choice since it could be used by people struggling to buy coins for investing in lower-ranked players.

The primary sources of cypher's income are dividends and slow inflation of coin prices he passively owns, not skillful trading. Report on zabatsu's profitability

This report look into the in-group money transfers for the members of the zaibatsu. Two cases are considered, one without the auction tax, and one with them.
The column "received / sent" shows how much each member has received from or sent to other members. As you can see in picrel, it adds up to 0 when no taxes are applied, but to -75.5M when taxes are taken into account.
"after growth" is a measure of how much the received money has increased under the management of each player. As an example, Applause received 73.6M, and it's estimated he turned those into 111.2M, making a profit of 37.6M for the group, which is the value shown in the "profit / loss" column (before tax case). For those in the negative, these show how much they'd had made had they kept the money themselves.
In total, the group made 47.1M not accounting for tax.
Tax is not optional, though. So if we include the -75.5M lost to taxes, they end up with a net loss of 42.3M.
For the AFTER TAX table, the values in the columns include the losses to tax. For example, Applause actually got 68.6M, which are estimated to have turned into 104M, which is 7.1M less than the previous estimation. As a result, his real profits are 37.6m - 7.1M = 30.4M.
All the estimations are on the low end, meaning laplus domain lost AS MUCH as 126.9M, and Drey made AT LEAST 28M in profits.

Also, how is the gains estimation made? I didn't say that, they are based on something. The method used takes into account all those concerns you brought up and uses the worst case scenario. That's the guess: assuming the worst case scenario. But I explicitly mentioned that in the original post.
