I don't believe that when I die I'm just going to go out of existence and that the universe is meaningless and things like morals aren't real because it makes me feel good - I believe it because I think it's true, even if it is fucking terrifying to me.

The difference between you and me is that you only believe things that are good for you regardless of how true it actually is whereas I'm too intelligent and rational to do that.
