it is a bit surprising - in fact it got way more trolling when it was briefly on /jp/. i think part of it is that no one's pretending to be an idol so all of the "x is a whore", "x talked to a (((male)))" etc bullshit which drives a lot of shitposting is a non-starter but also the barrier to entry is a lot higher as there's not much in the way of subbed clips let alone live translators so the eop audience is minimal

- Be unique
- Get audiences from outside the vtuber sphere

I watched the eu/na arena tournament yesterday, surprisingly fun to watch, less downtime and rng, more tactical plays. Tactical choice to choose to get better guns, more heals, more nades or get your skill is interesting too. There is more different variety of legends used in different maps too. The mind games like whether your opponent gibby has air strike is fun too.

it's not so bad in the sense that Qu has gone from strength to strength (even getting in a sneaky predator touch) and Leona has lots of big time tourney experience under her belt now, but it's still a major loss when you think about the fact that you have this crazy anti-meta Caustic combined with last tournament's kill leader having to swap out their Wraith of all members for someone with undoubtedly less mobility and firepower.
the tragedy is that they would have been the most senior team in the competition and only team to have participated in all 3 Vsaikyou tournaments, being the team that wasn't ripped apart by either of the new points systems
they were tight, and now it's dead

Actually I think it's a mix of being "new" and not absorbing information because she looks at chat too much plus Valorant habits(not healing because you don't normally get healed in Valo and health is less valued).
I personally don't think she's new to APEX any more, just that her growth and learning the game is a bit stunted due to reliance on strong team members(and Bloodhound scan) and not absorbing info and experience efficiently.

One of her most glaring challenges is that she hasn't adopted BR mentality fully, today's highlight was her match dropping onto Hydroponics with no opposition. She ran across 2 sets of blue armor and never pinged it. Round 1 ends, they leave Hydroponics, she has purple armor for herself, the Pathfinder managed to locate 1 of the blue armors and Lifeline with just white. At this point LL ult should be available and if they all had Blue-Blue-Purple, she could spawn purple armor via care package granted only Lifeline mains and experienced players would know this.
They end up bumping into a weakened squad retreating from Estates and somehow lose that ambush because Beni does not ping enemy movement into the tunnel under the Phaserunner, causing the PF who went into the tunnel solo to get beamed and LL is just lost because she can't push with white armor.

Beni is just such an interesting character with her rookie antics. Part of me wishes she never gets proper coaching. Thank you for reading Beni Report Blog.

The passive is good but her tactical polarizes the team especially if they want to play aggressive. I also think the tactical offers nothing if existing cover is available because the amp gets destroyed immediately and the barricade is only very slightly better than most pieces of cover due to the crouch-stand shoot play available. The worst downside is if you force Rampart out of her nest, you can possibly just take over the nest and use her barricade against her.
The ult is so hilariously bad and causes tunnel vision like crazy as it becomes a third party magnet or someone will just crawl behind her.

The last time I watched a coaching session, Hoshikawa had the bad habit of never reloading and rarely healing during a fight. Hal also taught her Pewacekeeper issue(needs to cock if not cocked prior to switching) and partial empty vs full empty weapon reload speed.
Hal has a weird coaching style where he's mostly hands off and then critiques her play after the match ends. Hoshikawa tends to panic and get overloaded when comms are provided though. I think Hal should focus on getting Hoshikawa out of exclusively using R-301+dshotgun.
