I'd say it's ultimately all Enna's fault but the thing is Kyo formed a feedback loop with her to both make each other worse and more spiteful of the audience as a net result. if neither of them ever were friends both of them probably would have been in a better spot now, maybe not hugely-so but at least better.

what they have in common, is they are rando off-the-street hires whose existence begs the question "no really, why did they even become vtubers" when they so clearly give 0 shits about any of the surrounding culture or history, weren't chuuba fans nor chuubas themselves prior and only think you're lame if you like any of this stuff sincerely. they can only like/do this stuff ironically on their end. it's easy to dunk on holoEN's stupid management but niji's is legit far worse (not to mention it seems cover un-fucked themselves in this regard so now niji's practices and managemnt stick out even more).

even so, enna is still relatively actually very successful. I remember she used to be pretty well liked, even here, but was allowed to turn on the core notion of "she likes what she's doing and likes vtubers and likes her coworkers"... when that's all been rugpulled, it's extremely difficult to like her. but the thing is, enna's success doesn't even prove she's so good, it just proves you can take literally anyone aged like 20-40 and put them in nijiEN and they'll get at least a couple hundred CCV guarantee and maybe 1k isn't hard if they have a good model/personality. people seethe about the overpowered nature of the blue dorito insta-win buff, but barfing rainbow pacman is a buff too - an order of magnitude smaller these days but it's still enough to be more successful than most.

I have to argue only Kyo is an enigma as to why the fuck he was hired in the first place. Enna at least had a powerful talent in singing-- among the best in the EN sphere, even, and she had the crass humor to boot even if it eventually ended up going over the line. Even if you don't take into account the dorito buff, Hololive's tardwrangling alone would have made Enna at least 10x better as a talent than what she is right now.

I would have stepped in asap when the rest of Ethyria ghosted Nina. A firm warning telling them to knock it off because that kind of behavior is unacceptable in a professional environment (which is what Nijisanji *should* be behind the scenes). Then once it became clear that Enna's bitchiness isn't a joke and she's ACTUALLY just a cunt, so her first month, she gets an ultimatum to knock it off or face suspension and eventual termination. Realistically she should not have debuted in the first place because management should have seen the obvious red flags beforehand. It would have been better to cut her, and Millie if she insists on sticking with her bad influence of a "friend", from the wave and find replacements.

As for Kyo, I believe that pretty much everyone is on the same page that Iluna, as a wave, was a mistake. Don't get me wrong here, some of them are nice enough people. They just don't make for good vtubers. But even putting aside the fact that they are a group of normalfags with no understanding of vtuber culture, I genuinely do not understand the appeal of Kyo nor do I see how he got hired. Like, even if he was a fleshstreamer, I don't see why anyone would find his content appealing. I'm pretty sure wiggers are actually the most universally reviled group on the planet with nearly every race and culture openly mocking them for being retarded. I guess maybe the Japanese don't find them cringe but... ah nevermind I get it now.

I have to clarify and add good conversational/zatsudan skills to the list of her strengths and possible rationales in why she was hired in the first place. She had a knack for making simple talk sound pretty entertaining and addicting to listen to.
