Okayu Live Afterthoughts 1/3

>Yesterday
Okayu got an even better reaction from her fans than she thought she would; she's really happy. Thanks for getting it to number one in trending, and for taking so many cute pictures. Okayu wants to show some of her favorites while talking about them.

>Could have been longer
Okayu's one issue is that she intended the show to go on for a full hour, but it only ended up being 45 minutes long. She sang, what, 8 songs? Now she thinks she wants to do her next one with 10. Truth be told, it's partially Okayu's fault for moving so fast during the main performance. She actually did have a script for the event, but she talks faster when she's nervous, and the parts that should have taken 4 and a half minutes instead took only 2. Well, even if it was short, she wanted people to focus on her singing this time, so that may have actually helped.

Okayu wasn't sure if people got to see them enough, but she was wearing these cute little rain boots the whole time. The paw pads underneath were cute? Good job noticing! For those who didn't notice, she recommends you go watch the part where she's sitting on the rooftop. She actually really wanted to swing her legs around more so everybody good see them. Applause to those who noticed. She actually talked a lot with the staff about how she could show those off without ruining the atmosphere of the live, and they ended up settling on that rotating shot on the building.

>Camerawork
This was Okayu's main focus for the show. She spent a lot of time thinking up good angles with the staff. She really wanted to go for as many emotional angles as she could. She watched a lot of music videos, paying attention to the camerawork. She really likes fixed point angles, where it feels like the person doesn't notice they're being filmed. People were real supportive, and they spent many hours finding what worked best.

Staff got real excited when the moon was visible at this angle, and Okayu got pumped up when they told her as well. Where'd they get the stage from? It's the same one used in Botan's debut 3D, actually. Are there any hidden YAGOOs anywhere? Maybe the staff put him somewhere. That'd really ruin the mood though, wouldn't it? Maybe there's some scenery that resembles him or something. It'd be like the "Let's search for Hikakin!" segment at the start of Hikakin's videos.

Okayu really loves the way the rain on the see-through umbrella looks, and that she could open and close it. She told management that she really wanted an umbrella in her hand for the live, and they got her one. Is it for her use only? She doesn't think so. Anybody else doing a 3D should be able to use it, though it might be limited to what set they're on. These umbrellas are easy to lose or have stolen by accident? True. Okayu remembers Obaa-chan putting tape with her name on it when she was in elementary school.

Isn't this amazing? Okayu thinks this has to be the best angle. The staff shouted "With this, we've won!" when they got it. She felt that she could quietly capture the onigiryaa's heart with this rooftop shot. It feels like they're sitting by each other, sharing an umbrella on a date. It's dangerous? She'd be fine if she fell; she's a cat who would land with a soft "tap". The onigiryaa would probably land with a "splat". They'll be fine because they're onigiri? That's good too.

Isn't this one amazing too? The emotional feeling of her surrounded by all these buildings? Seeing the back of a V-tuber is kind of emotional, since you don't usually get to see it too often. People might not know, but her hoodie has cat ears that you can see from here. A lot of people seem to love her tail too, huh? She has to have that hole in the back of her pants, otherwise getting her tail out is quite a hassle.

>Fanart
There's also a few pieces of fanart that Okayu shows off and talks about too. The first one is about her butt getting wet during the sitting part. The thing is, she had so much adrenaline in her system, that she didn't even notice her backside getting soaked. Even her underwear must have been soggy? Adrenaline sure is something, isn't it? There's also art of her getting her knees wet during the long kneel in Last Resort. Don't worry, she made sure to hop in the bath when she got home.

Okayu got really passionate during the live. She got to sing a bunch of her favorite vocaloid songs, Last Resort in particular. She wanted to make sure she sang it at the end, and got really into it. Kneeling hadn't been in any of the rehearsals, but she ended up ad-libbing it in the heat of the moment.

Without her amazing fans, Okayu would never have done this. Sure she'd be fine joining the other girls for the big performances, but normally she's just a selfish cat who wants to stay indoors and play games. Because she has all these fans who love her though, she really wanted to show them a good side of her; they made her want to try her best. Just like she couldn't have done this without people to set it up, she also couldn't have done it without the onigiryaa who love her. Are you crying? Well, there will surely be a lot more going on from here, but she'd be happy if you stayed by her side.

Okayu really loves Ponono's art of the onigiryaa getting ready for the live. The future veteran being surprised by the one with glowing umbrellas is great; maybe he's impressed. Kayuchun is there too! FBK drew her for Okayu. Is that a glowing onigiryaa in the top right; is he a gaming-onigiryaa? Maybe he has a glowing raincoat? She really likes how they still look so stoic due to their lack of faces.

>Izumi-papa's art
Isn't this amazing? Okayu had to make it her thumbnail, and didn't even want to put words on it so people could appreciate it. Izumi is in chat, and she thanks him for taking his own time to make this fine art. Okayu feels like this might be during her singing Proto Disco. This is the ideal mysterious neko she wants to be. Maybe she's going to crush their head? This could be alternative Okayu too.

>Fast art
Okayu was very impressed by all the fanart she saw by the time she got home. Even if you were drawing during the show, isn't everybody too fast? Okayu draws sometimes herself, and she takes way longer to finish anything.

>Tomorrow's game
The game Okayu will play tomorrow is...Yomawari! She's never played it, but it looks really cute. Subaru, who's played it before, is actually the one who said she wanted to watch Okayu play it, though several other girls have played it too.

>Subaru
Okayu's mentioned in the past that they have very different tastes in music, but lately Subaru's been recommending her songs, saying she wants to hear Okayu sing them. They do little exchanges like this often; trying to get each other interested in things they like. Okayu's been practicing these songs in her free time. It's a good way to learn songs in genres she's not familiar with. You want a SubaOka cover? That would be nice, wouldn't it?

>On the horizon
Okayu already released her cover earlier this month, but there will definitely be another at some point in the future. More importantly, there's something else big that Okayu wants to announce eventually. It's still at the point where she can't talk about it just yet, but it should be next month or the month after at the latest that she can clue us in. Please look forward to it. She's happy to have so much to give her fans lately, but right now she wants to focus on tomorrow's Yomawari playthrough. Don't worry about her pushing herself too hard; she's doing this because she wants too, and she'll make sure to take a rest day if it becomes too much. Even so, you're worried? Then it most be love. It's amazing that she can do all this stuff to make people happy? She might just fall in love with you too if you say that.

>Things she's bad at
Lots of things. She can't jump-rope, she can't deal with bugs(cicada in particular), and she's got terrible memory, plus there's probably a lot more if you went looking. Can she play with a kendama? Not at all, but she remembers really having fun with toys like that. She really liked playing with tops, not beyblades, but the old Japanese wooden tops that you would spin with a string. She would play with that thing everyday. In kindergarten she remembers they had everybody color their own top to play with. Everybody in class made a rainbow-colored one, but, for some reason, Okayu's was only green.

>Meal
Waterproof spray! There's been a lot of rain, so make sure to spray yourself down. It was really handy back in her hometown when it snowed. It really repels moisture.

>Finally back
Okayu's ready for things to calm down a bit tomorrow. She's been so busy getting things ready for the show these past few months, that she'll be happy to just relax and play Yomawari. She should use the superchat to buy herself a reward? Maybe she'll get a macaron or something.

Okayu's been drinking more tea than usual today. When she's focusing on a game, she usually only drinks about half a bottle per stream, but she's almost done with her current bottle already. She doesn't feel like going pee at all yet, even though the data would suggest that it's time for her to go pee. Actually, talking about it made her have to go; guess data doesn't lie. She'll be right back.

>Paid live
Okayu thinks all the superchats claiming to be for ticket fare are funny. She wanted to do a free live so all her fans could enjoy it. If it was paid admission though, then it would probably be possible to do something of even higher quality. If she ever had the chance to do something like that, she'd honestly want to go for it. It's a bit of a dream for her.

>Day off
Okayu will probably take one somewhere in the middle of the week; either Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday used to be the go-to because of new Golden Kamuy chapters, but now she likes to stream on those days for that exact reason.

>Work
After this superchat reading, Okayu actually has a mountain of work that's piled up to do. She's been far too busy with preparations for her live, and other work she had to do kept growing over time. Don't worry about her being up late working; she's nocturnal. Everybody else goes to work in the morning, but Okayu does hers at night.

Okayu Yomawari 1/2

Okayu's never really seen anything about this game before, but she likes the cute art style. She's not sure exactly how long she'll play today, or how many sessions it will be, but she thinks she'll just go for as long as she feels like going. She ends up beating the game in about 5 hours. She's curious about the remaining collectables, so she might go grab them on her own time. She's also curious about the second game, but says it might be a bit, depending on how long it might take to get permissions for it.

>Thoughts
The game scared Okayu a lot more than she thought it would. Despite its cute art, there were some really frightening moments, but that cuteness also allowed her to fight against her fear. Still, the one that got her most was the truck right in the beginning. In fact, it was the art that got her interested, but the game completely sucked her in right from that moment. She was originally thinking of dividing the game into two streams, but she didn't want to put it down after that. Still, it's strange that there was a truck there when that road just leads to the shrine. Actually, the whole town's strange with the monsters, murders, and children going missing everywhere.

>Why Okayu doesn't forbid spoilers
Okayu knows that everybody has a different idea for what actually constitutes spoilers when it comes to things like games. She usually doesn't forbid them, because she knows that their ambiguity might lead chat to fight with each other over what they might perceive as one. It's never really a concern for her though, the onigiryaa are very considerate about this kind of thing. If she can say one thing though: She likes how when she gets stuck for long enough, or potentially misses something important, they start slowly and offhandedly suggesting things. Like "Okayu? Doesn't it look like something's up over there?" or "Okayu? Maybe you should look investigate over there again.".

This cute cat can't be bought! She belongs to everybody, so she can't just be owned by one person. Though, if you want to secretly tell her how much you're offering, maybe an exchange can be made.

>Night walking
Okayu really likes the strange atmosphere of them. You might pass by one or two people, but it almost feels like you're in your own world. Sometimes you feel completely alone, and it makes your heart race.

>Early sleeper
Okayu wonders if some of the things you have to repress as a kid end up exploding into habits in your adult life. For example, up until High School, Okayu always had to go to bed around 9:30. She remembered being really impressed by other kids who would talk about going to bed at midnight, because she had never done it herself. When she hit high school, she started sleeping around 11, but all of those early bedtimes are probably what's responsible for her being such a nocturnal cat now. What time did she get up? Around 6, usually. Hard to believe now, right?

>What were you scared of as a child?
Even now, indirect lighting, especially orange-tinted, makes her very uncomfortable, and she doesn't know why. It might just be colored light in general, but orange especially. Decorative lights and blue-colored lights are fine too. She often slept with an orange light(maybe a night-light?) when she was younger. Because she slept so early, she'd often have a hard time going to sleep too, and would stay awake while her family fell asleep. There's something really hard about being the only one awake while everybody else is asleep, especially with that orange light on; even now the thought makes her uncomfortable. She's fine if it's totally dark. Even if a bunch of the other girls come over and go to sleep first, she's fine as long as there's no orange light.

It's hard for Okayu to condemn somebody for doing that for her sake. Well, leaving guilt aside, she's really impressed that you didn't get caught. If Okayu did it, it would have immediately shown on her face, or Baa-chan would have somehow sensed it. She remembers skipping school on a day where they had marathon training, because she hated it so much. So she pretended to go to school, and must have returned later with an expression that said it all, because she got caught. She must not be able to hide things with her face very well. Either way, you still have to run that marathon eventually, so there's really no meaning in skipping practice.

Okayu's real thankful to people who take time to make them. She thinks a lot of people discover her just from being recommended clip videos. She has a list of clips on her channel that she adds to whenever she finds one, so please look at it sometime.

>Clip titles
Okayu was surprised at the title of a clip about her the other day. It had her face with a black background behind it, and read, "The reason why Okayu won't play Minecraft". She thought she might have said something really dramatic but couldn't remember what. The actual reason was something like "Since my house disappeared, I don't know where I live anymore." Such a silly line with such a serious headline. She's sure people might have clicked that, concerned about something important happening. Then they would have gone "Eh? Ah... Wait, what?" Even she herself got worried when she saw it after all! The video had like 200k views, so there must have been a lot of people reacting just like her. She felt a mysterious guilt in her heart at this thought, even though she's not at fault. She laughs really hard when somebody suggests there will now be a clip titled "Nekomata Okayu, Outraged at Clips!" We're entering a world where she can't say anything. What's a cat to do?

>Goods
It's almost time for her goods to start arriving; she hopes you take a picture when they do. They should hopefully arrive sometime this or next month. You might want to clear out a spot for her tapestry; it's really big. You'll hang it on your front door? Then it'll be like she's seeing you off and welcoming you home every day.

>Long streams
A superchat thanks her for the long streams lately, but she feels like she hasn't done that many recently. Umamusume? Oh yeah, that counts. Maybe she's just biased, but she hasn't felt like any of them have been super long. It's probably because she has so much fun playing, that it never feels very long to her, though it might be hard on the people watching. She's really happy to be back to games for now though. The entire time she was getting things ready for her live, she was craving some video games. Things have calmed down, now that it's passed, but she'll probably be busy again next month with whatever she's working on. For the small gap she has now, she wants to play a lot of games.

Are you ready to go to an island with Okayu? It's her first time playing the game, but she's heard some of the music from it before. The opening sequence really feels like Paper Mario to her, even those little pillars for the framing. She's also surprised at all the enemies in Paper Mario that appeared here first. She wants to go for 5 hours, but ends up shortening to 3 after her voice starts to hurt from all the yelling. She wonders why she's yelling even more than in DKC, and chat thinks it might be because she has to worry about Baby Mario now. Will she get all 100 points? Well, she'll focus on beating the game for now, but she might go back and 100% it so she can play the bonus levels.

Okayu has a bad losing streak against the bandit that Yoshi plays minigames against. The score is currently 4-0. She's started referring to this bandit as "Kaiba-kun", and does her best Yami voice whenever they face off.

Okayu and Korosan had an argument over which pencil softness was the best earlier. As a kitten, Okayu was a devout believer in the HB and it's slender line, but Korosan is with the 2B faction. "HB's lead is so hard that it lasts much longer!", "No, no, no! 2B is much darker, so you don't need to push down nearly as hard." This conversation went on forever.

When she was in grade school, they had a picture of the entire student body, about 800 kids, taken by helicopter, and Okayu could hardly grasp that much. She thinks she'll just continue being this way forever.

Okayu's happy that Nintendo has services to let her play old classic games like Yoshi's Island. She feels like there's been a lot of remasters of older games coming out recently too. This makes her happy; she loves retro games. The one she's most happy about is still SaGa Frontier, because she loves the series so much. She really wants them to remaster Minstrel Song too. She loves that game, but it's been so long that she doesn't remember it as well. She wonders if they'd up changing the voices though, like of Neidhart and the others.

There’s a notion that vtubers develop love and parasocial relationships for their viewers just like how us viewers grow to love them. I think it’s possible, but I’m still skeptical about it and it definitely depends on the person. Everyone’s different.

I’m not sure how much Okayu really loves her fans or if it’s just that she’s just a massive flirt with everyone. but either way she’s not acting fake and it looks like she’s just doing what makes her happy, so that’s a good thing.
