I am doing my japanese reps because i got bored of mainstream en and jp vtubers and want to shit on them in their native language among other things.
The more time passes, the more i realize how shallow they all are and how little to none entertainment they provide on their own.
They only fun parts are collabs and rrats. So, basically network and drama.
That's the reason hololive and nijisanji got so popular.
Fucked in the head, stinky NEET females could have been way more interesting and charismatic, instead there are literal whores infested the market like a cockroaches.
Lazily collect donations from schizos and unironical simps.
There are exceptions to everything, but generally speaking i am 100% correct.

After months of japanese reps I finally became able to keep up with the light speed ramblings of Marine. Imagine my surprise when the bulk of her conversations were about buying shoes, where she went for dinner, and the various states of her body.
It's not like I was expecting a unicorn, but when I initially saw how genki and entertaining she is in games and collabs, I guess I kinda expected some depth to go along with that too.

I'll have to disagree with this tho.
Shallow != Not Entertaining
Just like they're EN counterparts, of course they are all shallow whores (as most women are), but that doesn't mean they aren't entertaining and charismatic whores.
I think the difference all relates back to Japan's culture of the geisha.
They literally used to study for years as apprentices just to be a "better" geisha.
Singing and dancing and playing instruments and being witty and shit.
There were even geisha that were considered "great" and were well-known for it and were invited to entertain at all the best parties.
But just like you wouldn't expect a geisha to be interesting and full of depth when she talks for hours on end about her day, don't expect the same from vtubers.
