Slept early last night so I missed Melissa's 3D debut and Botan's 3D bday kms.

Surprised to see Melissa still got 82k despite not singing for 95% of the stream (some retard in a few number threads ago thought she was a Vsinger kek). Then again, judging from how Furen's 3D numbers bled the moment she started singing, Nijifans are probably more interested in them doing random variety content.

Botan getting 60k for a 3D birthday is actually insane. Holo 3D variety streams usually don't come close to 3D live numbers. Pretty interesting that when you look at the comment section of the stream, all the top comments are in Russian.

I heard her profusely apologizing after the song (which was kinda scuffed), so I assumed as much.
I think at this point, it's safe to assume any Niji that is "heard of" will get 75k+ for their 3D debuts, 60k if they're a literally who, and 90k+ if they have a healthy CCV on their normal streams.
Chigusa has a pretty bad average CCV, but her 3D debut will probably be 75k+ just because she's everywhere and Nijifans know who she is.

the problem with finishing games is that it hurts her views directly as people can't be bothered to watch previous streams to follow up, even when it's clear that she has a higher ceiling when it comes to non-continuation streams compared to other EN2s. Botan, another holo that streamed Frostpunk before, also suffers from this issue
it doesn't help that she's overlapping either, even if she doesn't want to. If she's trying to avoid too much overlaps, she should just shoot around Kiara's timeslot as her higher viewed streams tend to be around that time, though 12 Minutes was also factoring debut buff and Stories Untold is pretty much a debuff game but she still pulled 14k

In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter. I can't think of many cases of debuff games having permanent effects on numbers.
HoloENs play debuff games and get 4-5k viewers, and then play Minecraft and get 10k+ again. There's a difference between doing 5 streams to finish Frostpunk and switching your main game to Apex for months to actively decline.
Just look at how many times people doompost about Gura failing to get 20k, and then she plays a buff game and gets close to 30k again.

I'm convinced people don't really know whether rigging is good or bad, they just repeat what they hear other people say until it becomes a thing. At debut of EN2 everyone was convinced the Gura/Anya rigger was doing one of the models. They narrowed it down to Kronii and Mumei. After it became obvious it wasn't Kronii everyone decided it was Mumei and as soon as she debuted everyone said her rigging was awful. Then they found out it was rariemonn, and we had a brief period of "oh wow I can't beleive he did such a bad job for Mumei but a good job on that other one he rigged". That went away quick. Now literally no one mentions Mumei's rigging at all because it's not actually noticeably worse than anyone else's.

That reminds me, has there been people keeping track on the numbers for superchat readings? I feel l that's a good number in showing how many people are really loyal and invested on the streamer themselves, perhaps their actual core audience. Kronii only lost like 1k and maintained 5k views for her.

Though there isn't a decent sample size for streamers playing XBC2 since the only big ones who have played it are Nui Sociere and Warabeda Meiji from Nijisanji and Roberu Yukoku from Holostars.
Both Nui Sociere and Warabeda Meiji pulled in above average numbers when compared to their other solo gameplay videos while Roberu Yukoku was a little below average. (I'm just doing eyeball comparisons, so feel free to call me out if I'm wrong.) So unless Kronii really messes up, she should do well.

If we're talking about Xenoblade Chronicles however, numbers are all worse, so that would be a debuff game for Kronii unless she can put her voice acting abilities to work for the NPC characters or something else specific to her to keep viewers engaged.

This is where you're wrong imo. You're comparing a JP audience to a EN audience. We have months of Kiara's numbers that tell us EN viewers do not enjoy watching JRPGs. Nui in particular is a bad comparison, since she's known for streaming JRPGs and has cultivated an audience for it.

XBC2 will be a complete disaster for Kronii, numbers-wise, because it's a super long game (64 hours for main story) on top of being a JRPG. She'll be stuck doing 15 XBC2 streams if she wants to finish the game.

To be fair, Gura had to get their first, then YouTube simply helps to maintain it. What is interesting to watch since the beginning, is how Gura is almost exactly maintained at 2x the subs of Mori, while YouTube keeps Ina and Kiara almost perfectly together in subs totals like forever. Breaking this is possible, but would need a dramatic shift in how YouTube perceives one of them. It’s likely YouTube keeps the balance unless one takes a major hit or is boosted in a crazy way.

If Gen1 stayed similar from the beginning, YouTube may do the same for Gen2. I’m sure one will pull ahead of another in live viewers (Mumei may beat Kronii), but YouTube may maintain similar sub differences regardless.
