Asians are not that great in terms of technology. They are good at improving and perfecting things, but not at creating or making big breakthroughs.
Just look at AI and robotics. All the AI stuff is coming out of silicon valley, whenever someone makes a new model it's always the same kind of LLM that was created there and not something that works any different on a more basic level. China and Japan love pumping out those "robots" that are just metal dolls with pre-programmed movements, but the ones that are actually useful are usually from Boston Dynamics and such.
China's political unity and order are the one thing they have going for them, the situation is indeed chaotic in the west, but more and more people are getting fed up with the nonsense so it's only a matter of time until the situation changes.
