The way I like to reframe it is that there are basically no harem or romcom shows where the MC doesn't end up with the crazy/rich/magical/alien/demon/angel/super hot/robot girl he meets in the first episode. She doesn't win because she's first, she's first because she's the female MC and the entire draft story was written around her eventual win.

The totally normal childhood crush character who also shows up in the first episode has no chance, zero, nada, she exists purely to get giga cucked by his way cooler girlfriend that fell out of the sky clutching a huge bag of money or whatever the fuck. We all laugh at the latency schizopost, but I often think of how I would solve problems vedal encounters If I were a shitdev, and most of my solutions involve additional operations, many of which would involve another pass through one or more LLM's, which is very expensive, latency-wise. Whenever vedal finds a way to combine steps, It is actually pretty impressive, and why he is so autistic about the latency.

The real crazy thing is that in a human brain, neurons take several milliseconds to fire. So for actions that you do that take less than a second, only something on the order of 100 neuron "operations/steps" have happened. This is completely mind boggling to me and I think about it a lot.

I'm the guy who asked about it and I'm halfway through my test project in godot (chess). It would be pretty cool to plug the api in and let ai play.
I'll post here if i ever decide to do that, its not that neuro related as she can already play chess, but It would test the waters for me to make integration mods for other things in the future.

My development speed and work ethic are literally worse than vedal though. Yes, that bad. So I wouldn't hold your breath. Maybe by next subathon.

If I choose a "dream" project to aim for with the api, it would be FTL (if someone hasn't already done that). It's unlikely I will get that far though.

FTL would be difficult to do with the API. Lots of possible actions, and more or less real-time pace. You'd need to make a low level AI first and then have the high level layer operate by Neuro (basically making basic goals and letting the low level AI work out the details). That's basically how the Minecraft AI works.

Wouldn't look great on stream though.

And the high level layer wouldn't be that bad, its just a state machine and you would always know whether you are on the sector map, in battle, in a shop, etc.
