Does constant new art commissioned from skeb give you a better perception of a vtuber? I assume if your audience likes you enough they would eventually commission the art themselves or draw it if they have any artistic capability. I normally don't care, but the one time it does kind of rub me the wrong way is when they've clearly spent a ton of money on commissioned art but very little on their actual stream. Trash art assets, low quality mic, no capture card (but wanting to play a few console exclusives), just little shit they could've replaced if they didn't spend a bunch of money on Skebs that add nothing to the stream.

For me, I prefer to watch vtubers that have similar taste to me! Or at least a similar passion in the types of games they play. I primarily will end up watching people who play games I enjoy, though I will watch anything if the streamer is a wonderful entertainer. Or if I am gosling.

Not at all. I think the only thing that changed was that I have a much broader list of streamers to watch when the streamers I usually watch are not online. I already watched a lot of art or non-gaming streams before vtubers, so they did not change too much for me... Hmm... I think maybe I did start to enjoy just chatting streams much more! I used to avoid them when facecam streamers I used t watch did them. But watching vtubers showed me that zatsus are actually a lot of fun to talk and chat in!

100% my favorite thing was a Fallout New Vegas mod called The Frontier or similar. It was the best series of cursed streaming content I got to watch, and made me download it immediately. It was a lot more fun watching her struggle through it, but I still enjoyed it.
Oh! And the LISA series! I had been avoiding it due to people describing it as one of the top RPGmaker type games, but watching her play through them was a lot of fun.

My oshi's had that effect (both regarding games and with other things to an extent) but otherwise not really. I guess some have shown me things I would have already liked if I knew they existed but nobody else has really made me get into something I wouldn't have cared about otherwise.
Wouldn't say they recommended it, but for some reason I had the stupidest stick up my ass about Slay the Spire (think I just kind of resented it for being the most popular "card game" on steam when I'd go looking for something more traditional) but watching streams of it from various vtubers made me realize it was actually really good and I've sunk like 50 hours into it at this point.
Really depends on what kind of things I think they'd like or what kind of recommendations they're asking for. Honestly off the top of my head I'd be down to watch someone just play Downwell (or other games with that same kinda energy) for two hours.
Nothin, really. Got some packages in the mail so having them arrive will be nice I guess. and a birthday (those packages are my gifts to myself) but man after a certain point that's just another day, if anything I'm dreading the mindless pleasantries by co-workers that don't actually care

Finished a stream to about 4 people a little bit ago, and honestly it might have been one of the most fun streams I've had to date. About 3 hours of playing some odd indie RPG Death Trash. I'll be honest, the colors are a big thing that makes it look generic. If you make the blonde look more natural, rather than bright naruto-yellow, it would help with even that alone. Green is a very difficult color to work with too. Usually people don't work with a yellow / green / blue palette unless it serves a clear purpose in the usage of those colors. If these are colors you simply like, I suggest trying to find different ways to incorporate them, since they seem very 'slapped-on'.

The biggest mistake I see others do when choosing outfits or formal wear is the lack of research into the attire itself. You have a very basic looking dress-shirt and vest, when there are dozens of styles. Even the simple styles that resemble this one have more subtle details. It gives the idea that the character designer just assumes they know what these clothes looks like and just draws them, instead of putting appreciation into the aesthetic of the clothes themselves, as if drawing a background character for a show.

At the end of everything, I feel like your design desperately needs more personality. The outfit itself doesn't lend much to wonder about you. Adding more accessories would help a LOT, or finding out ways to make the outfit less basic. You want to look like you enjoy wearing your clothes, not that you just need clothes for a design, if that makes any sense.

Beatani is a Japanese indie vtuber who tried streaming to her fellow Japs and discovered that they don't watch indies. So, she decided to stream to westerners instead since she (barely) knows English and is a big westaboo who's interested in imageboard culture. I decided to try a spin on it. Feel free to take inspiration, it probably isn't exactly perfect to your tastes and that's fine. Sorry for the sloppy handwriting, I did this pretty quick.

I made the clothes actually fit (helps as much on character designs as it does in real life), changed the colors around so the mask color will pop a little more. Added some textures. Added some accessories. Made you just a tad more bishounen (granted, most of that is from the clothes fitting)

I think cutting back on the messiness is a good idea, show it in some places but not all. The things that would be messy will stand out more in comparison, and even leads into more duality in your design.
It can easily be a cop-out in a design to just make everything messy, and it can implicitly show bad on you as a streamer. Messiness everywhere can sometimes look generic too, since everyone wants to be the "laid-back lazy guy. People also like others who are well-dressed, so being messy in the right places will take you a long way.

Maybe moving the signs of necrosis further up, perhaps being partway masked by where the sleeve is cut off?

Not sure the direction you went with leaking from the face but I could see, perhaps near the crack at the edge of the chin there's runoff leading down the neck into the collar?

Good pun, but also interesting way to make the mask side more visible in part of hair.

Might consider in making the eye completely dull of features though the glow is somewhat appealing if I go that route.
