I think its pretty much impossible these days, basically need to win the lottery with something and capitalize on it to ever really grow. The landscape is basically established and breaking into the known vtubers consciousness is almost impossible. NTA, but yeah. I feel like we're past peak vtuber viewership in the west unless there is some paradigm shift. Just looking at how fast Hololive EN gens have gained subs shows there is a big dropoff in general viewership, and every gen has a heavier focus on more merch & events to justify merch. The vast majority of indies that have gotten super popular in the last year and some change have been former major corpos. It's harder and harder to get to/surpass the 3view barrier where you're able to live off of vtuber income, let alone actually reaching a point where you're fairly well off. I hope for the best for the vtubers I watch, but vtuber venture capital seems like a really risky business proposition that I'm not super confident in the long term success of.
