yeah but that's incredibly vague. if your musical output is comfortably within your range and in genres you've practiced the most before without technical wankery, you don't really need to "get better at singing" and with no tangible goals you want to reach, the progression and motivation won't be there. you actually do need more than that. having an actual goal, like prepping for a song or performance out of your usual range or in a new genre or with a technique you don't really have down gives you a real milestone to hit and progress to keep track of. vague goals like "i want to get better at singing" are doomed to fail. tangible and measurable goals like "i want to improve my lower range to the point where i can confidently nail this song at the performance coming up in three months" will actually yield results
