I definitely believe that is the biggest factor for her as well but at the same time that doesn't seem to debuff as harshly ones like Ayame and Shion who stream just as infrequently as Mel. The usual response from others for why is 'she cute' but that seems a bit of a copout since that can be said of pretty much -everyone- in Hololive. There is other factors at play but heck if I know.

The reason you don't get any recommendations for Mel is because she is the least clipped Hololive member and she doesn't stream on her channel frequently. She does a lot of collabs on other non-hololive vtubers channels.

Choco IMO has good chemistry with anyone she collabs with. Her Apex and DbD with Roboco, the HoloArk(RIP) Aki,Coco,l and Polka give off the same energy. She is also really well liked by a lot of JP vtubers:

With regards to Mel, its fair to say that at least nearly a third of her stream appearances are on other channels and these other channels are moreso ones outside of Hololive. Can't really rely on Youtube to keep up with that so best suggestion is to check Mel's twitter daily if you're interested in catching her streams.

As for clips, unfortunately she doesn't have a dedicated clipper channel like some of the other Holos so she is at the whim of having buzzworthy enough moments to be picked up by the bigger general/speed clippers. That unfortunately doesn't happen as often since alongside Mel's erratic stream schedule, they want views and Mel by herself in a clip usually doesn't bring them rolling in.

That's a shame about Mel, she's got a reserved personality but she's very cute from what I've seen. To be honest, I've probably seen her more in HoloGras than anything else, the only recent noteworthy clip I can think of was from the MK8 tournament she was in with the others.

Not sure if any of them are folks from here but there have been a handful of failed Mel clippers over the last year, they usually last a few months than give up after their videos barely manager to muster more than 200-800 views.
