Hololive (for the most part, lets not mention Irys) has a lot of quality control over their artists for the models they want and that's how they rejected Kakage and Parsley first drafts despite them being godlike artists. Indie Holos have no quality control and they model end up being basically chinese bottleg of their old holo model. This is way more of a downside than an upgrade because they are both inferior designs and it conveys they cant fucking move on from their past self.

Hololive got them an audience. The people at the top have good judgment in choosing talents. Since Gen 4 they've gotten all good hires. Really the only blemish they have is Rushia with her schizoing out all the time. They never missed a mark in EN at all.

But at the end of the day it was built from the talents up. If there was no Sora it never would have started, if there was no Miko or Fubuki, they never would have gone viral. If there was no Pekora, they might not have gained mass appeal. If there was no Coco, they would have never had an EN branch. Everything was built on the talents being successful on their own, which built a stage for incoming talents to shine. Management just has to tard wrangle, deal with perms and set up sponsorships.
