Kurocolor did that perfectly fine on their own with their smear campaign, the termination letter and the black screen stream. Doki didn't do shit and didn't have to.

The problem with Selen's termination notice was that Nijisanji made themselves look like fools in the process. They were concerned about rights violations despite the fact that she showed multiple times her willingness and ability to work within these rules. The company then tried to claim that Selen had issues paying artists on time, but it was then outed by the artists themselves that it was management that had issues paying on time (if at all); Selen paid out of her own pocket, backed up by all the projects she does as an indie. Management claimed that the termination was "unavoidable", but Selen said that she wanted to leave on mutual grounds before because she knew that the drama would be bad for everyone back there. And then they went out of their way to say that Selen was being harassed by other livers behind the scenes, something that she never once said on her first stream back, she was still super vague about what was going on.

What happened next with the black screen stream and everything else, that was all Anycolor's fault. They shot off both legs and pretty much killed off their momentum in the West.
