ANYCOLOR STEPS UP
Anycolor manages to end their losing streak today with a closing price of 2153 yen (62) today. After a initial scare they managed to shoot up to around the 2120 range for a hour before climb around their closing price where they held steady for the rest of day. Overall a similar result to last Monday's performance (a 68 yen rise), but we know how last week went after that performance.

COVER SUB-CONTRACTS
Cover couldn't shake off the bad news as they still saw a loss taking them down to 1534 yen (-8). Overall performance was unstable amidst pressure from the bad news and the economy rising, although the general trend was up even if they didn't have the time to make back their money.

OTHER
Japan's Liberal Democratic Party and it's junior coalition partner Komeito have lost their majority in Parliament following a general election. Currently no party/coalition has a majority over parliament. But it is possible that the 2 larger parties in parliament, the aforementioned LDP or their opposition the Constitutional Democratic Party form coalitions to take the majority.

It's not actually a rigged Live2D like you'd expect, it's more like just a PNG that rotates and zooms with movement (looks like shit), the actual body or limbs can't move at all.
The only thing the AI seems to do (besides generating the PNG) is make the eyelids close for blinking and make the mouth open/close, but it looks like shit. Picrel is an example, the eyelids are horrifying.

ANYCOLOR SKIPS ALONG
Anycolor manages to toe the line as they head out with a nice 2169 yen (16) closing price, marking their first back to back gains in over a month. Performance wise they were close to the Nikkei's gain at closing, but despite some times of stability after a chaotic first hour they dropped and came nearly close to the line. Still, Anycolor now looks at a rather impressive 73 yen gain for this week as they chip away at last weeks loses (17 yen to go.)

COVER STAYS UP
Cover manages to stay in the green after a disappointing start to their week, rising up to 1557 yen (23) for the day. Overall it was pretty uneventful, after hitting their peak in the morning and a immediate slide they would rebound to stabilize around their closing price and hold their for the next few hours. They see a small 16 yen gain for the week so far.

ANYCOLOR FAILS TO BREACH
Despite Anycolor's best efforts, they fail to latch onto any momentum as they close out at a loss at 2153 yen (-16). Their performance through out the day was rather erratic, but they did see a spike after lunch that kept them far from their lowest lows but it still wasn't enough to flip to the other side. At the very least, they still have their exact gains from Monday for a 62 yen rise for the week so far.

COVER UPDATES FINANCIAL FORECAST
The big news for today however is that Cover has unexpectedly released a IR statement regarding their Q2 forecast, raising their initial forecast from 14.4 Billion yen to 16.5 Billion yen. They're reasoning for this revision is due to the sales of the Hololive TCG surpassing projections. However, Cover will be seeing a loss 450 Million yen due to payment of foreign taxes. Lastly regarding their fiscal year as a whole Cover's forecast expects steady growth, however due to uncertainties regarding event scheduling the forecasts remain unchanged for the whole year.

COVER TO THE MOON
With the recent IR, Cover has shot up graph with a closing price of 1748 (191) for today. Their performance did see some flux before lunch, but for the most part they stay relatively stable. With the Q2 report itself not due until November 12th, it's possible that they may see another similar spike when it drops assuming their new forecast for this quarter isn't false. With that being said they now look at a 206 yen increase for the week.

ANYCOLOR TAKES A STEP UP
Despite a rough start, Anycolor finally manages to latch onto the momentum as they rise up to 2175 yen (22) for the day. They managed to toe the line after that rocky start, but would see another small bump in the last hour. They now see a bountiful 84 yen gain for this week currently.

However, we may see major changes tomorrow. As Today was the last day of Q2 meaning the first half of the dividends Anycolor is giving out have been dealt out to shareholders. With dividends now paid it's possible that investors may cut their losses and drop out tomorrow considering that the dividends from this quarter will not make up for the deficit Anycolor's stock is in compared to the day before the Report/Dividend announcement. But that's just in theory, and not in actuality.

COVER MAKES A GRAND SLAM
Cover stocks are heading to the moon once again as they ride the momentum from yesterday. As they see a home run to 1918 yen (170) for the day. They only saw an upward rise as the day went on with some peaks, but did manage to hit their 2nd highest price since Anycolor's Q1 report (1st place goes to September 19th with 1924 yen.) In addition we may see another rise due to cultural reasons, as Cover's partner in the MLB collab The Dodgers have won the World Series, which is especially notable since Japan's superstar talent Shohei Ohtani was a part of the team

With these circumstances it's possible (keyword: possible, not guaranteed) that Cover's momentum and Anycolor's potential fall that Cover may finally take the lead. However, considering the massive gap between the two and the uncertainty of both Cover having a similar performance AND Anycolor falling off I would not expect it to happen. However, like a recent Game 1 in the bottom of the 9th, the bases are all loaded. And Cover is up to the plate.

OTHER
The NIKKEI despite our rather positive attitudes in this industry saw a 0.5% loss today.

Alright I'm now 60% sure that something is happening to EN tomorrow on November 1st. So I'll put my reasons down below:

Established Precedence/Convenient timing
>This is the last long weekend for the Japan Stock Market this year, so if Anycolor needed any major bad news to have a buffer now is the time.
>The merger for ID/KR became official 2 months after the merger announcement (Feb-April), if Anycolor were to do the same timeframe then a November 1st announcement would mean the merge would be made official on January 1st. Which obviously would conveniently coincide with the new year.
>This time frame between November 1st and the New Year means that the Nijisanji Music featuring nearly all of EN as well as Luxiem's Anniversary.
>Nijisanji recently announced that more EN merch will now be shipped from their warehouse in Japan, rather than the USA. (Although considering it seems what is left is just some early XSoleil merchandise, this may just be them cutting off a unused expense. Considering that many people have said that most other merchandise regardless of branch was from the Japan warehouse.)

Speculation/Potential arguments for and against.
>Anycolor may have been waiting until Q2 has ended to see EN's total revenue, to see if they passed any potential benchmarks they set for them.
>The merger announcement may also provide some artificial demand for merch as a whole. Since this would be the last time you could get official merch from the "EN" branch.
>The music festival would be a prime opportunity for the company to properly introduce/integrate the EN branch to the JP audience.
>The Merger for ID/KR also coincided with it being in the last fiscal quarter (Feb-Apr), which Anycolor could do the same to EN as well to simplify things and give them a fresh start so to speak.

At a cursory glance I don't see anything super concrete, it's mostly a lot of "we're taking action!" stuff. Interestingly, and I don't actually know if this is new or not because I don't actually really watch niji, but they're now requiring clip channels to register with them in order to upload content from streams/etc. This may sound like an insane action to take but from my experience it's fairly common with big jp corpos, VSPO being a notable example.

When I've baked I actually just tend to scroll through posts rather than using the anchors; I ignore it if it's anchored to the rraf anchor though for example. My issue with the always anchoring Niji news to the kuro anchor is that I want (and I think a lot of other anons want) this general to be a place of general vtuber news and tribalfagging in that way discourages Niji fans from posting news here. I know I'll be called a Nijifag for saying this (which would be funny if it weren't for the fact I'm a dragoon) but I genuinely want this general to be as neutral as possible. Few, if any, companies are of more interest to Kuro than AnyColor.

Sometimes, reality has a bias. Just because an opposition party like Hololive and all the tribalism exists, does not mean "both sides same". This is a company that tried to hide a suicide and launched an onslaught against the victim, a crime that, were there any justice in the world, should have landed several people in prison, yet this billion dollar company persists in its behavior, having become such an insular yes-man cult that management seems entirely unaware that they ever did anything wrong. Should it continue as is, it's only a matter of time until the EN branch gets someone killed, one way or another, and the impact on the community and the entire vtubing industry will be utterly catastrophic.

WACTOR, at least, had to change its name out of shame, but NijiEN has effectively done nothing, save perhaps Riku's apology that didn't touch on the primary crime, which the EN branch effectively ignored.

Still, in this instance, as it's relatively benign JP news, I wouldn't kuro link it. We've not seen as much in the way of homicidal behavior that would compare in the main branch, save for some signs of similar attitudes towards its employees, such as the humiliation rituals and play button madness. But anything out of EN, at the very least, is of extreme interest to anyone and everyone who follows Kuro, and thus all NijiEN news gets a Kuro link from me, in addition or whatever other anchor it may fall under.

Plus it seems, quite often, that even the most innocuous stuff out of NijiEN turns out to have sinister implications behind it that aren't always readily apparent. Until the company changes hands or otherwise demonstrates real remorse, everything out of it should be treated as suspect by default.

Treating the company as if it were the same as any other simply isn't honest reporting.
