If your Hololive oshi graduated and reincarnated as a different vtuber, do you think you'd still love her?
As idols, the public only sees what the agency wants you to see. There are slip-ups here and there where the facade cracks or a "yab" occurs, but you won't hear a Hololive idol cry about how they got dumped by their boyfriend for example, or how the state of politics at the moment worries them.
But without these rules this would change, and their demeanour too as a result. No longer would they be presenting their best self to you, but themselves in a more raw, unfiltered format. Hypothetically.
With that being said, do you think you'd still stick by your oshi's side?

I'm Tatsunoko and I'm still subscribed to Kson

The answer is simple Anon. Did you care about your oshi before she put on her "mask"?

If I'm already parasocial invested in a chuuba, I am already in need to know everything about her and that includes all her shit opinions. So yes I would follow just like Cocofags did.

No comrade. My oshi is a nice bonus but ultimately Hololive is my oshi. I will only watch Hololive vtubers.

The fucker could set up a channel where the only thing he does is watch paint dry and I would still watch him.

I thought I would, but now I am not sure.

I thought I would follow Coco to the ends of the earth but found out deep down within myself that I didn’t love Coco, I loved her content.

Specifically how she was like the glue that kept the Hololive ship together. Her best stuff was Asacoco and anything involving other members. Coco teaching tech to Rushia, Coco being a wise friend to her genmates etc. I know this stuff is still happening behind the scenes, but watching it unfold was the charm.

When she removed herself from that equation my enthusiasm for both slowly burned out.

tldr: depends on what they do.

If they keep similar content yes, if their content is different then no.

I’d like them more.

When they graduate they're dead to me.

It's why I refuse to touch Kson.
I subbed to Coco not Kson. They are NOT the same person. And I'm no fucking simp

I would in fact love for my oshi to leave her company because that way I can also distance myself from those other whores, and can finally leave this shithole too... She can do whatever she wants, use the model she wants and have the personality she wants as well... It's a win-win in all aspects.
But I'm not gonna lie here, I'd follow haachama to the fucking grave if I could

I supported her before she was in Hololive and will continue after if there is an after.

Couldn't give a shit about which company she's in, as long as she stays single and dedicated to her fans, it's all that matters.

I don't think my oshi would change that much so it's ok for me

>> No.8818995

I still love kson.

I followed Mint into becoming Pomu too, but that was a reverse situation.

If their new content didn't appeal to me I'd drop them, but so far I've not had that issue.

>> No.8819025

I'd follow my oshi, why wouldn't I. Especially if I thought she had good cause to leave.

>> No.8819248

Being a fan of your oshi and not the company is the only way your oshi can stick up for herself whenever management treats her unfairly.

If Ina graduates from Hololive, she'll probably stop doing frequent streams, and/or change her default timeslot (which is the reason why I'm watching her in the first place), so I'll probably not be able to keep watching her. It's not really a question of "still lov[ing]" her or not.

As long as she avoid politics and of course stay single I don't mind where she goes.
