As someone who has worked with people with disabilities and continues to do so I'm 80% "she" isn't disabled in real life. If "she" (because a lot of people are saying it's just a guy and not an actual girl) wanted to bring actual awareness to her disability, she wouldn't be using a hospital wheelchair, they became outdated in the 70's. She would be using one like pic related, called active wheelchairs. I think it's extremely weird for a guy not only to fake a disability but not even doing the 5 minutes of research it would take you to know this. Please don't saviorfag this fucking leech.

Hospital wheelchairs (old style) are quite uncomfortable to pilot around and you will need help to do stuff like getting off them n shits, well you can still somehow struggle through but they are not handy, they are designed for people who have someone actively looking after them.

Active wheelchair (modern ones) allow you more freedom, you can be more indipendent. In daily life they are sooo much more handy.

Basically what >>8746469 said. You can't self propel if you are using a hospital chair, making you dependent on someone for you to move. The height of the back restrains a lot of your movement, so if you want to move by yourself you're fucked, and since most people with disabilities also have joint issues they could literally pop out an arm if trying to self propel. Not only that, but they are about 15 to 20 kg so good luck with that. The one I used as an example lets you be independent, without the huge arm rest you can move a lot more easily and have more access to small and tight places. Also they are about 5 to 10 kg so it's extremely less draining to move by yourself.
