Southeast Asia in general is culturally diverse, beyond the native population, there are also general Indian influences, Chinese influences, Islamic influences, on top of inter-mingling, like say a Malaysian living in Indonesia, or a Philipino living in Singapore, or an Indonesian living in Singapore, or a Thai living in Singapore. So if you took a vertical slice of any one ASEAN country I wouldn't be surprised to see a variety of accents.
