That's what I'm saying, you think they'd care about what you want as someone who might not send that many superchats? They'll GLADLY spend hours and hours reading superchats to give the illusion that they care so that you can send them more and more money.
To the point where you either get full streams that are solely for superchats readings or a stream where more than half of it just consists of superchats reading.

I think before EN1 debuted when they didn't know how popular they would get raising money was a serious consideration.
Some of the girls wanted to do it full time from the start but it was not clear if they could.
Ame even put money as one of her interests and I could see that being used to try to play into getting donations if they were struggling.

And now it's clear they are a success, Ame feels fine regularly turning off superchats if she thinks they will get in the way and she constantly buys commissions to make the steam more enjoyable and interactive.
