The thing is, Mori and Kiara surely know why they aren't getting Corporate's money and support. These girls aren't stupid. First of all, they are gaijin- but while this is a cardinal sin, it doesn't exclude them from financial backing.
What cannot be forgiven is how they present a public-facing front of thinking they know best for the company. They pushed the hardest for outside collabs (including collabs with 3Ds and m*les) and made no secret of the fact that they were opposed to management in this regard. This undermines the authority of the company, which is a big deal. It makes the talent look erratic, potentially dangerous to management, especially to those with more conservative and traditional perspectives who don't fully comprehend the whole vTubing business in the first place and why it's suddenly turning more of a profit.
