I'm sure there's a combination of factors, including cultural work ethic, but I feel like the homework is just much more straining on EN overall than the JPs. On paper, they probably have the same workload, maybe even slightly less than the JPs, but when you start to factor in how often they have to travel for dance lessons and recordings, and how they have to stay up late into the night for JST meetings, it does feel a little unbalanced.

EN goes from Fes prep right into EN concert prep, right into anniversary prep, right back into Fes prep. I don't blame some of the "lazier" girls for not wanting to take on a lot of extra projects like sponsorships, music, etc, if the end result means they have more energy/motivation to stream. Yes, there are girls like Mori that can do it all and more, but not everyone is built like that, nor can I reasonably expect them to be.

I feel like we're at the tipping point where having every girl in Fes is going to become unreasonable. We're already at 3 (4) stages with 6th Fes adding Regloss, Advent, and ID3. With how big EN has become, and with EN concerts now happening annually, it almost feels like the focus for EN should shift to that as the main concert, with only the ones that one to be in Fes taking the extra time for it. It's a real sucky idea, but I honestly can't think of how else they can balance the workload for the overseas members that can't just wander into the dance studio. I suppose an alternative would be Ame's home studio being the "home base" for EN recordings.

I would if it wasn't for Gura. Even though I'm so tempted to switch, even though Gura barely streams anymore, I just can't let her go - you don't really choose who you love. Those first couple months of Myth during COVID were uniquely special to watch the idol journey speedrun of the socially anxious shark on the verge of tears in the Maneater stream, to being the first to hit the 1 Million milestone and the heartfelt backstory of how she had very few to no friends growing up, and the Fly Me To The Moon, and the members campfire karaokes, and all the rest. Depends on how much we're factoring /hlgg/ as a component of enjoyment of EN.
My enjoyment of the content these days is similar to the early days. ENReco and GTA have been some of the biggest highlights in years when it comes to stream content.
That being said, there was undeniably something special about the circumstances of Myth. It was so much more of a journey with Myth because of how uncertain everything was at the time. They were trailblazing with HololiveEN, they were the first and had to figure things out as they went along. It's a fact that later gens had a more comfortable environment to get in on as HoloEN was more established, but that means there's less opportunity to really do something conceptually new as a unit. Every little thing, every tiny step forward was such a victory because it hadn't been done before. The first NA off-collabs, the improvised 3D models over the years, etc. were all huge steps for HoloEN.

The biggest thing that has both reduced and sustained my enjoyment, however, is just the volume of streams. Someone mentioned it last week--we used to pray for schedules like this, but the price is that we simply can't be caught up with HoloEN as we could the first year. I don't necessarily have the familiarity with all the ENs that I would like to, compared to what I have with Myth and Promise (especially Myth) where I could follow along with all of them.

Idk man. I love Hololive, but it's different now. My level of enjoyment is similar, but that enjoyment isn't the same feeling as it was. Debut Myth era was a pivotal time that can never be replicated for a million different reasons. Can't even really put my thoughts about the last 4 years into words. And that doesn't even begin to touch on the factor of /hlgg/ in 2020/21 up to now. With that one /jp/ was the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Not sure we've ever matched either of those on /vt/.

I get this feeling that if I discovered Hololive today I will not get attached at all really. I would probably be a clipwatcher at best and that's it.
The content is obviously "better" but in a way that it doesn't feel like I'm being "taking care of" but more like I'm being sold a product.
The obvious analogy is that you have a comfy Bar that just opened a section in the back where people are having fun and you know everyone there including the barman. Many years later that section is now some independent multi story building with touchscreen ordering and the cocktails are made on a machine automatically.
