They bring in less money, but they will provide a way for Cover to get into an otherwise untapped market. That's why they're not opening a Filo branch, because Filos already watch En streamers anyway. ID on the other hand has a huge population with most of the citizens being unable to speak English. If not for the problem with China, Cover would have loved to expand on that market as well

Ren is fairly inoffensive, a decent singer, and most importantly: his messaging to his audience has always been mostly neutral. His twitter posts always read like "let's just all get along and hate no one". His signalling on socials is the most neutral and even sometimes even leaning in favor of skepticism, inviting people to consider both sides of the coin (including Doki's) without implying either side is in the right. He's similar to Fulgur in that he stays in his corner with his fanbase and doesn't weaponize his position or fans to provoke anything from happening. He's a bit bland and needs someone else to play off of to be entertaining in any capacity but he's alright. If vt wants to pick and choose their bad eggs and good eggs, then Ren is not a bad egg at the very least. Rotten eggs include Millie and Enna, eggs that are neither good nor bad like Ren and Maria, good eggs like Kunai and Scarle, and rotten eggs that seem alright at first glance like Sonny.

Ren did put his foot down when telling people his account wasn't being skinwalked but that's a nothingburger by comparison imo
